Got the rust brown color and I like the matte-suede look (vs. shiny). Can be worn with jeans or khakis, and they look great — not too formal, but also nice looking. They seem well made and have comfortable cushioning for walking. I wear size 10 in almost all shoes, but took review advice to go 1/2 smaller, and the 9.5 fits great with plenty of toe room. I can recommend these as a good pair of semi-casual or everyday boots.

The boots arrived quickly. The size was as expected. The boots were comfortable out of the box. Would buy again
I like the toe box. They take a while to break in. There is also a little heel slippage. I prefer the Altra version of this shoe, but Altra discontinued their casual dress boot.
I've always liked Born shoes/boots. First, I often must size up to fit both feet. Not so with Born. Some shoes are comfortable from the get-go. These were good but not particularly comfortable at first and I was a tad disappointed. However, it wasn't long before I wanted to wear them all the time. The materials and construction are first-rate. If there is any negative, I guess it is due to the sole being flat - walking at first didn't feel natural. I've gotten used to this, however.

I really like these boots. Positive points - Born quality is excellent. Footbed is very comfortable. They look better with wear. Negative point - eyelets go all the way up to top. While this looks more polished, you have to loosen laces significantly down to third eyelet to get your foot in or out. It takes longer to get them on or off. I wonder if laces will get slicker with wear and problem may go away. I like everything else about the boots, so this problem is not significant enough for me to return them. May not be best choice for someone with a bad back or other trouble bending forward for longer than usual.
