I originally gave these boots a one star review because they arrived from Zappos with one defective boot. I spent weeks researching boots and comparing prices. I was disappointed when they arrived unwearable and I had to return. I was going to purposefully order a different brand because of this experience but I kept coming back to these. They were a bit more than I wanted to spend but I liked the composite toe and treads. I was also looking for a plain style and liked that there are no seams. The built in handles are a bonus. The only issue I had is the boots rubbed my skin raw on my shins where the top of the boot curves in a bit. Finding socks that stay up below the knees are key and solved the issue. The temps in WI are below zero right now and the wind chill dropped to -30 degrees today. My feet weren't the least bit cold. Hosing off my boots after salting sidewalks is a breeze. The fit is true to size. I have wide feet and high arches. Wearing these boots all day is not a problem. I am in and out of plow trucks, skid steers, and walking around with a hand shovel all day long. My bad experience in the beginning is replaced with a smile. I love my boots. Too bad I don't love all the snow and cold.
