The fit and comfort of the Bloch Women's Respect Dance Shoe are commendable. With a soft cashmere lining and cushioned insole, these shoes allow you to stay comfortable through hours of practice or performance. Just be aware that they might require a short break-in period before reaching optimal comfort.
When it comes to performance, the shoe excels thanks to its non-slip pro balance rubber pad. This feature provides a secure grip on dance floors, allowing you to execute movements with confidence. The straight leather stacked heel adds extra weight for enhanced tone, ensuring that every tap produces a clear sound.
In terms of style, the classic oxford design makes these shoes versatile enough for various dance genres, from tap to jazz. The leather finish adds a touch of elegance, making them suitable for performances as well as practice.
However, potential buyers should consider sizing carefully. It is advised to start with the same size or a half size up from your regular street shoe. Given their small sizing nuances, trying them on before purchasing is recommended.

This shoe is excellent to tap in! It is loud in sound and the rubber pads are great for providing stability when turning. My street shoe is a 7.5-8, but got these in an 8 because I had a wide foot. They fit perfectly. With the full sole, it gives great arch support and the leather is nice quality. I've been tapping for decades, broke an ankle a few years ago, and this shoe is the best full sole shoe I've tried in the market recently. It's worth the extra $30 investment compared to less expensive Bloch and Capezio mid-line tap shoes. I only wish the laces were a little longer, but that is an easy fix.
I have had these shoes for about a month, and so far so good. Love the sound and they are comfortable and look great. I ordered one size up from my street size and they fit perfect! Great product :)
I really can't complain. I purchased these Bloch Respect tap shoes here at Amazon "like new" for a quarter of Amazon's present retail price. While the leather is not soft and supple like that of my Capezio Flex Master tap shoes, these Bloch shoes are obviously of quality. The hard soles are a nice option as I continue on my tap dance journey and the taps, themselves, have a pleasant sound. That being said, this pair fits me as a street shoe size would--as in, they are too big. I am a 7-7.5 in street shoes (sometimes, perhaps, even a 6.5) and these shoes in 8 are definitely not my size. I do not mind the extra room in the toe box for my toes to splay but, even with the addition of adhesive heel pads, the shoes feel a bit large. They are wearable for me, yes, but in my case "sizing up" did not help them to fit me any better.Yet--if I hadn't sized up, I might not have found $25 Bloch tap shoes "like new". So, like I said at the beginning of this review, I really cannot complain.
I highly recommend these shoes to anyone considering them.I haven't worn tap shoes in many years and opted to try these. After reading through many reviews, I decided to order a half size larger than my usual 10.5 womens. They fit beautifully with some room to add thicker socks if I want, but totally not necessary. They look great and the taps sound wonderful.Good luck!
I bought a 1/2 size larger than my usual shoe size and they fit well. I added a thin support pad for extra cushioning because my joints prefer that! The taps make a very lovely sound.
I normally wear an 8 narrow, ordered 8 1/2 narrow. They fit fine, happy they come in a narrow width. I assume a nine would fit also, almost too short, so order a full size up. They feel fine while tap dancing.
They’re great quality and stable shoes with gorgeous leather but they ran pretty darn small and hurt my feet to wear, which is a shame because they sound great. They also definitely aren’t made for toe stands because of how narrow they are
Fit great and daughter loves them!
