They are a bit more expensive than some jazz shoes I have seen (like the black ones I purchased a few months ago), but WELL worth the extra cost. Excellent quality! The color is called white, but it is more of a bone (an off white- a very light greyish beige)- just fine for my needs. The fit is perfect and they are amazingly comfortable. Dancing in them is a dream! I wish they came is several more colors!
My feet are not only wider than 'normal' but also have slightly high arches which make it hard finding shoes that fit well in the mid-foot area. Some reviews said the shoes were too tight at their size while others said they were true to size. Obviously fit depends upon the structure of each individual's feet. So what to do? I decided to go a half size up as recommended by the maker, hoping that would give me the additional width I need since no wide sizes were offered. First impressions: although the shoe is a tad bit long for me, the mid-foot area above the toe box actually fits pretty well, though a tiny bit snugly at first wear. I left the laces loose as I walked around the house for a few hours breaking them in. They look well made & are light weight. Since my weekly, sometimes twice a week, dance class only runs 45 minutes, these should work well enough for my purposes. YMMV
Great shoes, but I wouldn’t size up as others have recommended. I like my jazz shoes to fit more like ballet shoes and these do just that. I sized up when I first ordered them and needed to make an exchange for my true size. There was just too much room one size up. But great shoes!
These are flimsy but comfortable and useful for indoor only. I bought them for a line-dance class and wear them every week. I bought one full size larger than I normally wear, and they still are a snug fit. I need arch support and find these adequate. The sole is good for dancing - not too slippery but easy to spin on.
Bought these for my daughter who needed her old jazz shoes replaced. These fit just like her Capezio brand she has worn in the past. True to her street size shoe which is a 7, medium width. She loves them and prefers a snug fit as she's required to do lots of turns and leaps while wearing them in class and shows. She said these provide great support and allow enough glide and also traction to do her turns without slipping. She wore them straight out of the box and didn't need to break them in since they were that great a fit. These shoes look very well made and we expect them to last as long her previous Capezio brand. Either way, in jazz shoes I do not think you can go wrong with either brand.
These are well-made, and fun to dance around in. Regarding sizing — depending on the brand I wear a 9.5 or a 10, and the size 10 in these fits perfectly — toes are not bent, squished or crowded or swimming in space. They don’t fit as snugly as a glove along the length of the foot, but they do hug my normal-width feet well. Someone with a wider or plumper foot would likely get more of a ‘glove-like’ fit. Seller shipped them out quickly, and they arrived in perfect shape.
I bought these to use as an organ shoe. I found them unattractive and tight fitting. They are meant to be a dance shoe and would probably be alright for dance.
I am a salsa dancer and these are my go 2 shoes. I don't like the stiff and shiny shoes that other dancers wear. The last pair I bought lasted for years!
