One of the standout features of these shoes is their sound quality. The cast aluminum taps contribute not only to durability but also enhance the auditory experience that is essential for tap dancing. Got these to teach my friend to tap! I was impressed with the price and how well they sounded. Thick bottoms.
We bought these for our son who wanted to work on his tap skills at home. The width was a little thinner than expected, but overall, a good pair of tap shoes for the price.
Needed a pair for a taking a class and they fit the bill but would they be good for consistent on going regular usage who knows?
They fit perfect. Gotta wait till after Christmas to play around with them.
First, they smelled aweful out of the package! Like just a bad chemical/leathery smell to them. Second, size down!!! They're a little big but I'm not going to sweat it as they are just to practice in for now until I can get the better brand for my show, plus my son taps too and I know they will eventually fit him. I bought them mainly because 1. $23 on sale you can't beat that for tap shoes! And 2. They are split sole!!! Split sole taps are way better to me than the ones that have a hard sole, yet split sole are harder to come by and more expensive.I cant speak on how well they hold up as 9 just got them and I don't start my tap class until next week! Will update in a few months!!
Perfect size and shape. Flexible sole, strong arch, nice sound, and decent construction are perfect for dance. I am an amateur, and have only used this once, but it worked perfectly for a month of daily practice and three performances without showing any sign of peeling, tearing, or scuffing, and only a minor crease on the toes. Naturally, not a professional grade shoe, but sufficient for anyone not planning on using it too frequently.
Received these today and they do not have the metal tap plates on them so are absolutely worthless. Didn’t want to spend much since my son will only be using them for a school musical then they’ll never be touched again but I guess you get what you pay for.
I am always nervous to buy shoes online but these were perfect. My son is new to tap and needed a pair for his role in the high school musical. Very affordable compared to $45 plus $12 ship on a dance site where school had a bulk purchase coupon.Faux leather so will scuff easily but great pair for a starter. Staff told him they were snug in the right place and he has worn them for week of rehersals with no complains of rubbing or blisters.
