When it comes to tactical footwear, the Battle Ops Men's BDPE Tactical Boot stands out for several reasons. Its waterproof capabilities are one of its primary appeals, allowing you to traverse wet terrains without worrying about soggy socks. The breathability factor is also commendable, meaning you can wear them for extended periods without discomfort.
The anatomical heel comfort pods effectively secure the ankle, adding extra stability which is crucial during rigorous activities. Moreover, the EVA midsole's cushioning makes long hours on your feet much more bearable. If you're someone who relies heavily on comfort throughout your day, these boots could become your go-to pair.
In terms of safety, the composite toe is ASTM 2413-17 EH certified, providing peace of mind against potential hazards. It's not only designed to protect but also remains lightweight compared to traditional steel toes, ensuring you don’t feel weighed down.
While many aspects are impressive, a couple of users have noted that sizing might be slightly off, indicating it may run larger than expected. Thus, trying them on before purchasing could save you from potential returns.

This pair of boots by Battle Ops was just what I needed. The fit is spot-on for size 8. There's enough cushion from the replaceable insole to make trudging around in them all day effortless. Two other factors have impressed me: the composite toe and shank allow me to clear the metal detectors at our Plant without a squawk; and the waterproofing and padded flap along the side zipper make them ideal for the snow removal chores I face in winter. All-in-all a great brand and style of boot. Don't settle for some cheap, uncomfortable, knock-off pair of boots. These are available at a great price point and you should wear them proudly. ~TJW~
Only thing I don’t like, and I mean only thing is they don’t have a pull strap to get your boots on. Other then that I love them. They hug your feet with a nice cushion and are extremely comfortable. They are completely waterproof even with the zipper do to a leather layer on the inside of the zipper.
They hold up pretty well and are fairly comfortable. I spend a lot of time on my feet in unstable environments like wet ground and unfinished attics. They keep my feet safe and stable and protect my ankles. That said, there are some cosmetic issues. The layer on the toes is already scraping off and one seam on the side popped open almost immediately. The shoe is still fine, but it's not as secure and doesn't look great.
I'm surprised that they fit perfect the first time I put them on and they are very light and comfortable. I use them riding my motorcycle and bought them because they are water proof. I can walk for miles with them feeling good on my feet. Only issue is they are a bit warm in the summer time riding. Don't breath well but in the cooler temps they will be great. I'm very happy with this product.
Quality feel, no damages yet, fits as expected, comfortable, No squeaky floor noise on a wet day, great in slushy snow means no wet socks, and grips oily surfaces.
I loved these boots until after wearing only about nine months they are coming apart where they are stitched on both sides of both boots where the foot bends. That's really too bad because they are super comfortable and very light and supportive. Stitching should have been better. The rest of the boot is in great shape. Well except the Velcro that holds the flap over the zipper pull. But I knew that would wear out quickly. It's what Velcro does, not a big deal to me.
Is well made and fits good.
They were comfortable, but holes wore thru the bottom of both boots around the 9 month mark. I do work outside on concrete and that's tough on boots.
