This is a super comfortable shoe right out of the box. Fits well. Light weight. Wear 'em all day and take the wife out dancing in them at night! I own 4 pairs of Bates shoes/boots. Very pleased with all. This low boot is made of synthetic materials. The uppers may look like leather but they are not. They do not take a shine so they carry a low sheen and look good all the time. Doesn't get much better than that. The only problem I've ever had with a Bates product is that the heels are glued not nailed on. My 8" side zip boot heels came loose from being close to the exhaust pipes after 4 years. Just reglued them with Gorilla glue and I have gotten another 2 years use out of them. Bates is the best!
Great shoe. I bought an 11.5 but they are a little tight. Would get a wider shoe if I were to buy them again
I have bought several shoes in the last couple weeks. All have hurt my feet. I stand for 10 hours a day. If you want a great quality shoe buy these now. After I wear these out I will buy another pair. They are a little narrow from the heel to the middle but I did not feel any pain from them, might just be my foot shape. I will always buy Bates shoes. P.S. Bates I will buy a pair of your boots for winter soon. I have written about 6 reviews since I joined Amazon "years ago" this will be the first positive review I have written. Ty Bates and keep up the great quality work.
These are great boots for Fire/EMS. I would recommend that you order them a half size larger than usual especially if you wear moderately thick work socks.
Looks nice, but too tight. OUCH! The strings are too short also. Day two and I can't take it.
I walk the equivalent of 6 miles a day at my work and these shoes have held up great . Much better than the glued garbage my work offers us to buy at a discount . They also look much more professional than other slip resistant shoes which usually look like diabetic orthotics that fall apart after a month.
The Bates E06600 are SIZE FACTORY DEFECTIVE. There are complaints all over the internet about it, which I ignored. Now I am stuck with a $ 52,00 pair of shoes that I CANNOT wear.Unbelievable that Bates supplies the market with known factory defective products !!!
Material is not durable. Shoe is comfortable but not your everyday wear.
