I really like these shoes. I normally wear a size 9 in shoes, so when they suggested a 10, I was nervous to say the least. From the look of the picture,I was Africas they’d look too long on my feet and almost ordered my normal size (thank God I didn’t). These fit perfectly. They are very easy to slide on and once on fit rather nicely. It took one finger to very easily slide my foot in. When bending my toes, it bent with no pressure or discomfort anywhere. Infact, though you can feel them on, they move with you as though you’re barefooted. I imagine I could walk for miles and miles in these shoes. For added security, the bottom is inundated with holes which gives added security when walking in the rain out in riverbeds. The material breathes so freely, that there’s simply no chance for my feet to sweat (which I always have a problem with), nor will I have to walk around in water logged shoes as they will drain and dry in no time with the design they’ve made in the fabric. Finally, the color Ensign Blue is eye catching. These shoes would be a nice with jeans or shorts.Yes, I recommend these shoes for breathability, comfort, traction, and durability.
My wife enjoys long walks in our neighborhood park and through the local nature preserve. Her sneakers just weren’t cutting it for the long grassy swaths and the dirt and hills. She decided to give these hiking shoes a try.She ordered her regular size (7.5) and they arrived quickly via Prime. With her first try on, the shoes felt very loose. It turns out that the inserted soles are very thin. She replaced them with the inserts from her usual sneakers and, presto, they felt much better. However, they now felt a bit tight around the width of her feet. It wasn’t overly uncomfortable but she feels as though it would be more comfortable if this model came in a “wide” version. After taking a very long walk, she was happy to report that the cushiony soles still left her feeling fairly refreshed though she was feeling a bit chafed along the sides of her feet. These have clear visual appeal and are built well. We wish there was better sizing as far as the sole inserts and the width. The sizes do fit true but they need a bit more width to be truly comfortable.
Update: I went for a long walk and they rubbed the skin off the back of my ankles and stained my white socks blue. These shoes are alright. The soles are foamy and light, but they're super smooth so there's no traction whatsoever. I'd only wear these inside on a treadmill or on a paved sidewalk, definitely not for hiking. I ordered size 5 and it fits fine, though a little long in the toe. Also on the inside sole I noticed there's a raised area that ends under where my toes start. It feels a little funny at first, but I can get used to it.
These type of shoes are great for the summer when your feet may sweat or swell. There is some arch support and very comfortable on my feet. They are pull on type and fit snugly. The color stays pretty much the same so there was no fading if walking on damp grass. They are more on a narrow side so the half size up made them more comfortable on my toes. These are light shoes and have only worn them on paved walkways.
I liked that these shoes were pull on. I like the color and style; but, that's about it on my likes. They are incredibly uncomfortable to wear as my "Headline" states. They constantly rub against your Achilles heel and they constantly lift up and down as you walk in the same area. I couldn't wear them for long periods of time. I will not be wearing these shoes post review very often either. The price point ($ 53.64 - $ 79.00) is bad, too, for the level of comfort that this shoe DOES NOT offer, in my opinion. Maybe, they will work out better for you. Good luck!I would NOT recommend these shoes for anyone. Such a disappointment and if I had paid for them I would've said: "Such a disappointment and waste of money".
To start I love the color, the sole is very comfortable and the shoe material stretches nicely, unfortunately I have a wider foot so they feel very tight, perhaps if I had ordered a half size larger it would have been better
These sneakers look so odd! They have zero arch support. The are completely flat inside and the line on the back fubs the back of my heel. I wanted to love these because I've bought many similar slip ones for hiking. These are light and look like they're made well but are extremely uncomfortable to walk in. As for the bottom sole it has zero grip for stones. This is not a shoe I'd wear to walk in or hike in. It may be something I can wear for biking as I don't walk much on my mountain bike treks. I'd skip this sneaker as they don't seem like I'll be using them much.I ordered an 8.5 and I normally wear an 8.5. These feel like a 9.5.
I have high arches and am prone to plantar fasciitis, so I am very picky about my shoes (and have expensive, custom orthotics in my running shoes). These somehow are very light, have the arch support in EXACTLY the right place for my foot, and make it feel like I’m walking in clouds. My foot feels extremely supported, yet the sole is still pillowy. They are easy to pull on and can easily be worn sockless for those who like that, or with no-show socks which is my personal preference.I’ve worn Bass brand shoes for most of my life, and the quality of these is exactly what I would expect for the Bass name.
