Great mud boots

I wear these to the barn every day they are comfortable and not too clunky even with the steel toe. They are a B width and I could use a C but not too bad. They run just a touch big but this allows for extra socks, a liner or an insole. They are warm with two pair socks and absolutely waterproof. The tread is enough for traction but not so much as to get filled with mud or muck. The tops are large enough for me to tuck in pants and my calves are 15 1/2 in. They are sturdy and look like they will last a long time. The price is the same as lesser quality boots. Not exactly fashionable but I wanted no nonsense durable work in the mud boots and these are excellent.

Great for boating life

Bought these to use on my boat - between motor oil, slick decks and stormy weather, I needed something that was tough, durable (this is also oil and acid resistant!) and that would protect my feet in addition to keeping them dry and happy. This boot fits the bill. I'm just a tad larger than a size 7 and the 7 fit very well -- I'm giving 5 stars for my experience so far BUT (!!!!) I would recommend wearing these with heavier socks, as the metal of the steel toe is rather unforgiving and I imagine that if I have to wear these for hours, my toes might chafe against the non-forgiving steel toe box. They are also attractive, which you don't see often with heavy-duty industrial gear for women. My boyfriend took one look and decided he might want a pair for himself!

Wish they were better quality

My previous pair of identical Baffin boots lasted three years, so when they finally got a crack in the toe I quickly ordered a new pair. Unfortunately this pair last less than three months before they cracked across the toe. I'm very disappointed in the decline in quality in these boots over the last three years.

Really love these boots!

I searched for a long time for exactly the outdoor working boot i wanted, for working in my expanding gardens that border the woods. The area is a little rough and full of tall grasses and weeds so I am concerned about ticks also. These are great quality; well made; strong and were a good price for this quality. I am also pleased that I was able to purchase an item made in North America (Canada).

Narrower than a pair of pointy-toed goth boots!

I wanted to like these boots because they are made in Canada, but they are the most painfully ill-fitting boots I have ever worn. They are both too large and too small. I bought them as an emergency replacement for my previous pair of work boots, which I discovered had cracks in the soles when I waded into a shallow wetland carrying bundles of willow stakes and ended up with waterlogged socks. Whoever designed them apparently has a fetish for freakishly long, narrow feet, because the size 6 is narrow enough to break bones, but has a ton of excess length and weird floppiness in the ankles and calves. I have average width feet and thought that going up a size from a 5 to a 6 would give me enough room to wear an extra pair of socks on winter days when I'm working in standing water all day, but the 6 pinches so tightly across the toe box that wearing an extra pair of socks makes my feet even colder. Two stars for keeping the water out, but if I could give negative stars for comfort I would! And in case anyone is inclined to think I have chubby feet, I am 5'2", 120 lbs with an athletic build and I can assure you that I am not trying to stuff overweight feet into these boots!TL;DR: These boots bear more resemblance to a medieval torture device than a pair of work boots, and as such it would be a fitting punishment for the folks at Baffin to do my job for a day while wearing their own poorly designed boots. As a side note, I would like to respectfully ask that people who buy workwear and only ever use it to take the dog for a walk or do light yard work refrain from reviewing it. A large number of well-intentioned but misleading positive reviews can give gear manufacturers and consumers the false impression that a product is adequately designed to withstand the wear and tear of a rugged work environment when it really isn't, or worse -- that no one ever uses it in such an environment. Over time, this inaccurate feedback leads to dangerously underdesigned gear being sold as workwear. Gear that fails in cold, wet conditions puts outdoor workers at risk of on the job injuries, cold stress, and hypothermia. Women's workwear in particular tends to be poorly made and prone to failure. Is it because gear manufacturers are sexist, or are women unwittingly perpetuating sexist stereotypes when we write glowing 5-star reviews that imply our gear only has to be good enough to take the dog for a stroll? The most laughably unhelpful reviews of all are those little gems where a husband writes: "Bought these boots for my wife and she loves them!" These reviews contain exactly zero useful information. What does your wife do in those boots? Forestry? Commercial fishing? Scurrying from the house to the car on a rainy morning when she's late for her office job? And why did she not review them herself?TL;DR: I guess I can at least be grateful the boots aren't pink!

No Regrets!

These boots are wonderful. They're sturdy, well-made, but still fashionable. They're much less than Hunter boots, but just as good. I'm very glad I bought them. I'm a size 8, but purchased a size 7 and they fit just fine. Occasionally, the boot does rub against my pinky toe, but it's not too big of a deal since I'm not wearing them daily, or weekly even, might be a problem if I was doing work outdoors.

Great Boots

I bought these for work ( I work in a factory) and they are very sturdy. The steel toe is an added bonus plus they're rubber so your socks won't get wet if you're working in a damp environment.
