The thermal insulation provided by their unique foam-based inner boot system is unmatched, extending warmth to temperatures as low as -148 degrees Fahrenheit, which is ideal for those working in extreme climates.

After spending an hour with soaked feet in a manhole, I knew I needed to upgrade my field work boots. As others have noted, the material they are made of is noticeably thicker than typical irrigation boots, and they run large . I am a 10-1/2, and the size 10 boots are plenty large to fit me with thick socks on. The one surprise is that mid-calf on the outer side of the right boot is a safety certification stamp with a CSA logo and an ASTM F2413-05 placard which should satisfy any safety inspector questioning whether your footwear is appropriate for the job site.
Bought these for my husband who is extremely picky about his shoes. He tried them on, said they fit and he likes them. =) He hasn't had a chance to wear them yet. When he does I will update this. Did I mention these are steel toed too? Great deal for the money!
I just got these, and based on the mix of reviews about the fit, I wanted to add another data point for people. Some of the reviews say they run big, some say they run small. So, I went with the majority and guessed they run a little big. I usually wear a 10.5 Wide to 11 D (Normal). I ordered the size 10 boots and they are just-right in fit with regular socks, so I don't think there's enough room for thick socks.
