I wore these shoes to my daughter’s wedding. At first they squeaked when I walked, apparently because my nail polish was rubbing against the lining of the satin (which seems a bit plastic). I solved this by adding shoe pads to fill up the space better; I also bought moleskin but did not resort to using that. In the end, the shoes did not squeak in church, but by the end of the night, I was walking barefoot at the outdoor reception because six hours was my limit. The shoes did clean up well with a bit of soap and water. If you buy these, take a moment to steam the ribbons.
