Asolo shoes seem to fit my feet better than other brands. No exception with these boots. I usually get a size 9 in Asolo shoes and that is what i got with this boot and they fit perfect when wearing regular socks.. A little stiffer than normal high top hikers due to the padding but still no problem hiking 6 miles comfortably first time out. Been hiking in weather as chilly as 20F (no snow) and no problems with cold feet. Confident they will keep my feet warm down to at least 10F when not trudging thru snow.
Thus far I've found the boots to fit well and are comfortable. Right out of the box I walked 7 miles in them and the only irritation was in the ankle area... that stops a couple miles in. The soles have been very good on a mixed surface of gravel, grass, dirt, snow and ice. Even on wet ice they have been very good compared to my boots that have the classic Vibram lugged soles. After my experiences my girl friend got a pair mostly to wear while walking her dogs but also for our hikes. She too has found them to be very good on ice and snow.
Asolo is one of my favorite brands. They fit me well and thses are no exception. They're warm and the traction is excellent.
Could not 5 star since I didn’t get to use them. These run a little large. I’m usually a size 9.5 and they there were to big, needed a 9. They are designed really nice, Though I’m sure the performance of the Asolo boot would not let down, I returned these for the Arcteryx Acrux boot which I feel were made better in workmanship.
Had these less than a year and one of the eyelets blew.
I’ve been a big fan of Asolo for lots of years. These boots look simple, but they function really well. Awesome warmth with a single pair of socks, but without the bulk. We climbed a high peak in the ADKs in January and these boots were perfect.
These fit perfectly and I walked over 5 miles the first day with no issues. I walked in snow and on ice at times and the grip was amazing.
Very high quality. I have always liked the asolo line of hiking boots. These were a little stiff for the first couple days, then became comfortable. They are warm and waterproof, without feeling like they are not breathable. I recommend them.
