The Ariat Womens Scout Paddock Boot Black 6 stands out for its innovative 4LR technology, which provides both stability and cushioning—crucial elements when learning to ride. The full-grain leather upper not only looks elegant but also offers resilience against daily wear and tear. Its moisture-wicking lining further enhances comfort by keeping your feet dry, allowing for longer rides without discomfort.
The padded collar at the topline ensures that your ankles are supported while avoiding chafing, and the elastic gore allows for a snug fit that adapts to your foot shape. This combination makes slipping them on and off quick and effortless, which is especially beneficial after an intense training session.
In terms of aesthetics, these paddock boots are versatile enough to transition from barn to casual outings, making them a great investment for any horse enthusiast. However, some users have noted that there might be a slight break-in period required before the boots feel entirely comfortable, so it may take a few wears to achieve the perfect fit.

I bought my boots back in January and they have lasted me so long! Easy to clean, comfortable to ride in once broken in, and 100% worth the money.
Love these boots wore out my first pair, only took 5years!!! They fit me like a glove. I have wonderful support , I can wear all day . My feet didn’t get tired. I used them to ride horses and wore them often with skirts and dresses . A great boot!!
Perfect for my daughter who is taking riding lessons.
I bought these boots over two years ago, and they are still in great condition. I have worn them for barn chores, volunteering in a therapeutic riding center, training, and showing (with Dublin half chaps) probably averaging 10+ hours/week. They fit perfectly and are comfortable for walking and riding. My only complaint is they aren’t very insulated for winter. I just bought a pair of insulated Ariat paddock boots for the therapeutic riding center, but will only ever buy Ariats after my experience with these boots. They were replacing a different pair of cheaper paddock boots that literally fell apart from walking, and I expected the same to happen to these, but for the price I will just keep replacing them if they ever fall apart.
I absolutely love these boots.. virtually no break in time.. very comfortable
Great boots for anyone. My 12 yo got these to replace her less expensive pair that had worn out. She wears a 6.5 womens and they fit very well. No blisters or problems after wearing all day the first day. She says they are very comfortable boots and feel better than the Heritage iii s - a tad wider in the toe area.
I love these boots! They keep the dirt out, slide in and out of the stirrups easily, and are suitable for around town and barn wear. So far they are holding up well to frequent use. The one bad thing is that they are not warm, so I will have to find an alternative for winter.
FINALLY!! I started out with these boots with the zipper, which didn’t work AT ALL. I don’t have an abnormally large or narrow foot, but the zipper just wouldn’t move in my correct size. I didn’t think the half size larger would work either because the length was pretty perfect.I went with an 8.5 in this boot, which is a half-size larger than normal for me; just because I didn’t want it too tight across the top, which seemed to be the issue with the zip ones. These work pretty well! They’re a tad on the loose side in the toe box being a half-size larger though. They’re genuine leather, so right out of the box they’re pretty stiff—any good leather shoe needs a good breaking in! I wanted these to work SO BADLY because of all the great reviews on them!! I want a good riding boot that’s leather and will last me YEARS. I hope I finally found one!!I honestly don’t know what to suggest for you readers. To go half-size up or stay true to size. For me, the half-size up seems to work better, but I don’t necessarily know why? Maybe it’s built for an extremely narrow foot...which I admit, I don’t have...but I also don’t have a fat or large foot either! When I discovered these fit me, I hurried up and sprayed them with the waterproof and stain protection...I want these to last as long as humanly possible! Especially since I’m going to be riding in them! I’m hoping the break-in doesn’t last TOO long...but again, they’re very stiff right out of the box, so you will need to break them in. Just consider that they won’t fit like they should IMMEDIATELY—they should get way more comfortable as time goes on! 😁Anyway, will update later if anything goes extremely wrong with these...if not, I’m HOPING these will be such a great boot for me!!
