For the price, this is a solid work boot. The zip feature is great at least for a smaller calf person. If you have meaty calves this may not be ideal. I have a little trouble keeping it zipped all the way up but they never come fully unzipped. Great in the mud, water, etc. Standing up to snow and ice as well. Toes stay quite warm with wool socks. Maybe a little cold at first, but don't stay cold like steel toe.
Had these for a couple weeks, really comfortable and completely waterproof
Very tough boots. Tougher than anything I’ve ever worn. Not the most comfortable because they are very stiff, but they protect my feet really well. The zipper is a little hard to use, but it works well enough to not have to untie them when removing or putting on. The actual boot is very big on the outside, but fit normal. I usually get 6 months from a pair of Keen hiking boots for work, expecting to get much more from these. Heavy duty protection. Comfortable enough to wear all day and sometimes night.
Didn't fit correctly
Great construction, true to form. Very comfortable & warm in 25-35 degree conditions wearing cotton athletic socks, more snug but still comfortable & warm in colder conditions wearing thicker wool socks. The sole tread pattern leaves something to be desired for ice & mud traction but has been true to non-slip design on oily, greasy floors in various mechanical work shops.
The boots are well made. But they are hot and don't breath, so your feet are going to sweat. So after wearing them all day, you're going to be uncomfortable. Would be decent in the winter, but do not recommend for summer wear.
Side zipper with Velcro hold down, 3 grommet shoestring ties to finish the job. Very comfortable, strong composite toe, and per Mike Morgan of the YouTube channel, “Outdoors With The Morgan’s,” he says they last FOREVER. Although I’ve only owned mine a few months, I would tend to believe him. Caveat: They cost about 1/3rd more than my old faves CAT boots, I got sick of the SOLES splitting on them after 2 years and the soles of my diabetic feet getting wet when I stepped in puddles, (I’m a truck driver BTW). Ya think when you spend THAT much on a pair of work boots, that they would last at least 2X that.
