The Ariat Mens WorkHog Wide Square Toe Waterproof Steel Toe Work Boot is a formidable option for professionals seeking protection without sacrificing comfort. The first aspect to note is its robust construction. With a blend of full-grain leather and a Cordura upper, these boots are built to last, making them suitable for even the toughest labor environments.
The boots feature ASTM-certified steel toes, ensuring your feet are well-protected from potential hazards. This feature alone makes them a top contender for anyone needing reliable safety footwear. Additionally, the waterproof bootie construction allows you to navigate wet conditions confidently, keeping your feet dry throughout your workday.
But what truly sets the WorkHog apart is its innovative ATS Max technology. This patented platform provides incredible stability and comfort by reducing foot fatigue, which is essential when you are on your feet for lengthy periods—whether you're navigating uneven terrain or working high up on a ladder.
The slip-resistant Duratread outsole enhances your grip on various surfaces, making these boots ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. If you worry about slipping on muddy or wet ground, this feature will give you peace of mind.
Lastly, the U-turn entry system makes it easy to slip these boots on and off, saving you time and effort during your busy day. While the shoes may feel slightly stiff initially, they break in nicely, adapting to your foot shape and providing ultimate comfort.

Update 04/22/2018:I've had the same pair of boots for about 2 years now. I even bought a second pair just in case, but they have held up flawlessly. The rubber on the bottoms is finally starting to wear in, although I think I can get into the next snow storm around December with the same pair. They held up well in 2 ft of NJ snow this year and my feet were cold, but dry when I unbooted. The only thing that wears out are the insoles, and I usually just swap them out with Dr. Scholl's Working Soles every 6 months or so. If I'm on my feet all day, I kind of want comfort and the $9 or $10 for pads are a no brainer (Cost vs. Comfort). The leather is still in great condition as my jeans cover that part, the outside is roughed up, but the steel hasn't broken through. All in all, totally worth what you pay for these around $200 or under. Kind of want to buy a 3rd pair of Ariats with the boot credit we get to see how the Mestino or Tall boot holds up just because I can. Although these are so comfortable I don't know if I'll give em up. They have been my daily wear unless I'm going somewhere a bit more classy, then I break out other boots.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I love my boots. There are perfect right now in our NJ winter. I work in a Chemical Plant and our end product gets very slippery when wet. I have noticed these to be great when walking on some that falls on our floors. They seem waterproof, but I wouldn't stick my foot in a lake. They do get cold as they aren't fully insulated, but this design wasn't supposed to be. They have an 11" shaft which nicely grabs the calf so they will never fall off, which is important for a safety shoe. They also had a steel toe which I prefer over composite which was nice. Size is also true to fit across Ariat boots as well. I tried a pair of Ariat Heritage, and a few other Ariats at a local saddle shop to make sure of my size before hand and they were pretty accurate. The square toe is a notch wide for my liking, I typically like a round toe, especially when driving my car, but all in all you can't go wrong with these boots. If net year comes around and I'm due for a new pair and work reimburses me, I might opt for an extra pair of round toe if I can find one with the same specs, but I don't see these boots being ready to go for years. They should last a long long time.
Steel toe is strong, fairly flexible for a work boot but but just as durable. Water proof indeed
These boots are very comfortable and good looking. They are very well constructed and will not fall apart on you. I purchased these boots for a three month construction job and they have done very well. The boots run about a half a size large. I wear a 10 in regular tennis shoes, but I ordered a 9.5 in these boots and they fit just fine. I cant say enough good things about these boots, they are great.
I bought this as a present for my brother in the Philippines. I'm very happy about the looks and the materials 👍 i know he will love this working boots.
Very comfortable but not in love with the insoles. They tend to struggle with insoles usually have to replace.
Wears like a regular steel toe work boot.
These are the first pair of Ariats I have ever owned and I am not disappointed. They are not quite as soft as comfortable as the Georgia Boot I have bought in the past, but the style combination I bought from them must have been discontinued because I have been unable to find them. I was so pleased with these Ariats that I even bought the same boot the next year even though I no longer had to have steel toe. I would have bought them 3 years running but I had a car accident and dislocated my ankle. I had to get a pair of lace ups strickly for the ankle support. These boots are easy to get on and off, have plenty of toe room and lasted more than a year with me wearing them every single day. Will probably buy another pair when my Reebok lace ups wear out.
Very comfortable. Good looking and LONG wearing. These baby we're my go-to boots for 5 years. The sole held up very well and overall they were a great investment. They are fully lined, which I was unused to when buying, which made them a little hot on my feet but I adjusted to it.Also, the leather of the vamp is perhaps too supple, which maybe a result of the silicone treatment, so I'd recommend never doing the neetsfoot or mink oil treatment, and instead putting a hard drying natural wax like kiwi polish to protect the leather from avoidable scrapes and gouges.Overall I couldn't recommend higher.
