The Ariat Mens WorkHog 8" Waterproof Composite Toe Work Boot stands out in terms of quality and performance. Its full-grain leather upper not only looks good but also enhances durability, making it suitable for rigorous work environments.
In terms of comfort, the shock-absorbing EVA midsole truly shines. If you spend your days standing or walking on hard surfaces, you'll appreciate the relief it provides, which is essential for reducing fatigue over time.
As for safety, the composite toe adds a layer of protection without the added weight of steel. This means you can keep your feet safe while enjoying a more lightweight feel, perfect for long shifts.
The stability chassis incorporated into the design further enhances the boot's support, encouraging correct foot positioning with each step. This is particularly helpful when navigating uneven terrain, which is common in many job sites.

I normally wear a size 10. I got 9.5 wide. I intended to order 10, so I'm not sure what happened. The boots felt good when I tried them on at home. They are a touch small working in them. Break in has been tough. They are comfortable. Probably some of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I am hard on boots. Time will tell if they can take the abuse or not. They have kept my feet dry so far unlike every other waterproof brand I have owned. Only had these a couple weeks.
These are very solid work boots. Sturdy and supportive, while very comfortable after breaking them in.
I’m not gonna lie, I was losing faith in the Ariat brand ever since they quit making the Hermosa XR 8’s. I completely stopped buying their boots because nothing compared. This is the closest you will get to them, they aren’t quite the same but straight out of the box they are extremely comfortable. I’ll probably order another pair
Been wearing ariat boots for several years, these are so far the only style/brand that is really comfortable from the first time wearing. My size is hard to locate, as I wear 7EE. It's super rare to find my size shoes or boots on the shelf. Very satisfied with ariat footwear and will continue as long as they're available.
Great
Good boot. Little warm but solid
I chose these for the waterproof aspectI am not surprised at the quality of the Ariat boots...as usual they are fantastic!!!!!!My feet stay dry and very warm...the soles are great, they are not slick even in sub zero temps.Due to my job slip resistance is key...Ariat has done a fantastic job in designing these boots/soles.The interior liner is designed to keep your feet warm in very low temps...-21 degrees and cool in 85 degrees. I have not experienced the extreme heat as of yet since it is still winter where I live...I will update when the time comes.I cannot say enough about Ariat and the boots they make...as a back surgery patient, comfort is paramount to me and they are the best boots made that I have found to not cause me any back pain...I have paid much more for junk boots and paying $179 for these was well worth the money. Thank you thank you thank you Ariat!Thank you to amazon for the great shipping I got them so fast just in time for the freeze...great site and great sellers!
My husband purchased these hoping that they would be comfortable like his previous pair from ARIAT. He assured the fit would be the same too, because it’s the same brand…. But it wasn’t. My husband does not have wide feet by any stretch, but he complained that the boots felt tight on the sides of his feet. And hurt. He hates them. Said they feel like dress shoes… plus, he had to work in snow the other day and warns that these are NOT the boots to get if you’re working in icy or snow environments…What he does is very strenuous work on his boots, and already he has produced some wear into the boots, like first day. So, we don’t recommend. Wish they didn’t stop producing the previous composit power lines he had before. He says they were the most comfortable boots he had ever owned from day one. We actually wasted $200 on these, and now had to buy another pair that hopefully will be more comfortable. Maybe pull on workhogs will work.. here goes another $200. Hoping they are worth it because these were such a waste. I’d give them no stars if I could.
