Prior to this purchase I owned two other pair of Ariat boots. Both pair are standard work boots that have been very durable. The last pair of casual footwear I purchased were Twisted X. While they were comfortable the heel cup in the shoe was plastic and broke quickly. I have been looking for a comfortable pair of shoes for casual wear. I chose the Recon Country Moccasin for style and on visual appeal. When they arrived, they were as ordered. The leather is thick, yet flexible, uniform in apperance and well stitched. The heel cup is rigid leather, not plastic, so more durable. The fit was fantastic. I order wide shoes for a wide foot and the fit was spot on. My 11 Wide often feels cramped. When I first put my new Ariat boots on, the fit was snug but not suffocating and the insoles offered just enough comfort that I feel I can walk in these all day. My last Ariat boots have lasted over 2 years so far and have more life left to give. These boots feel like they are built to last. Ariat boots offer great workwear and now I can attest to the quality of their casual footwear.
Excellent, comfortable
My son loves the style of these boots. He is not a wide but felt they fit narrow so we stretched the leather a bit and after a few wears they fit him better. Great style and beautiful leather.
These are such a great boot! Easy to dress up or just wear casually. They fit the exact size as your Ariat boot size. 10/10!
The shoe fit true to my Ariat boot size. Extremely comfortable shoe. If you own a pair of the Ariat Spitfire driving mocs and thought your feet met comfort like never before, wait until you try these on. Very versatile shoe that can be either dressed up or down.
I own a pair of Ariat Firefly mocs and love them so when I saw the Recon Country with the wedge sole I figured they would have the same build with a different sole. I was very wrong. The toebox on these is very narrow and very tight on the top of your toes. As far as build quality they are great. Same Ariat quality I've come to expect from all they're boots I own. Since they are full grain leather I've oiled them up with LP and hope they will stretch out a bit. This boot is best tried on in person.
I like these shoes. I use them mainly at work in a production environment. They are nice enough to wear in an office environment and rugged enough to wear on the production floor. They are one of the most comfortable shoes I've found for this type of task. Overall 2 thumbs up. The only thing I can't speak on is longevity as I've only had these for a couple months. So far so good.
Hold up well so farRight Boot is tighter than the left one
