My employer requires that I wear safety shoes. I work in a lab, attend office meetings and visit customers. I needed a pair of safety shoes that are stylish, comfortable, light weight and safe. I had been purchasing this same shoe for about three years now. They are dressy enough to not be noticed in meetings, which means no more shoe changes during my work day. I love that I can slip them on and go. I like that the composite toe is not uncomfortable and light weight.
By far THE most uncomfortable shoes I have ever owned! I've had these 3 weeks and paid $130. for them. I bought inserts, and went thru an entire box of bandaids. Feet are one big blister from heal to toe! Had to go buy a different pair at lunch today at shoe carnival because I knew I couldn't make it til the end of my shift!
I read the numerous previous reviews about the shoes running large and considered ordering a 1/2 size smaller. I'm GLAD I DIDN'T...... the fit is just right (size 6.5) and it would have been a pain to send them back, perhaps other shoe sizes run large. Anyway as far as safety shoes go, they are light weight and comfortable.I rated it @ 4 stars only because I would like a more stylish shoe be made.
These are very stylish boots and I love the way they look and how they feel when I wear them. My complaint is that they make my feet hurt bad when I wear them for 8+ hours at work where I'm standing all day. These would work best for someone who only occasionally has to go into a work zone where safety shoes are required.
This is a great looking shoe - very good quality, BUT shoe runs large. I wear a 7.5 US / 38 EU always. I could place my entire index finger behind my heel with my foot in the shoe. They probably run more than a size large. I purchased the Ariat Safety Clog in place of this Ariat Expert Safety Clog in a size 7.5, and it seems to run just a bit small - wish my toes had just a bit more room.
I read the reviews many saying that they ran large so, I ordered my size but when with a medium wide instead of wide. My mistake. I could hardly get my foot into it as it was very narrow so I was unable to wear them at all. In looking at the shoes and felling them inside and out, it did not seem to have much for cushion or arch support inside. The inside was also constructed to where your foot would slide in them so your toes would be pushed further towards the front. I returned them immediately following the return instructions and my money was refunded immediately. I was impressed with that process.
Needed these for work, they aren’t clunky andcan’t tell they are composite toe. Happy with purchase.
