Good shoe great price
Alpine Swiss Holly Womens Flip Flops Comfortable Walking Thong Sandals are very comfortable. I've been wearing them around inside recently--absolutely not outside, since it's the dead of winter, and I refuse to lose my toes to frostbite. However, the flip flops are supportive and cradle my feet effectively. The sole is made of foam, and is not stiff; it's a bit flexible. The only small problem I have is that my feet are fairly thin, and the straps are a bit large. I tend to buy flip flops a full size smaller than my other shoes so that they won't slide off my feet when I am walking, but I bought these in my regular size. Yup, they are really kind of loose. This is a problem when I'm walking, as I don't want to trip, but especially when I'm going down stairs. I would say to order a half-size smaller, if you have thin feet, or have the same issue I do. The straps seem a bit wide to me. Otherwise, these are very comfortable.
I want to love these flipflops. My husband was like wow they look great. They feel great wearing them, but there is an issue. There is a large plastic tube between the big toe and the next toe. It is uncomfortable, to the point it makes you not want to wear them. My husband suggested I cut it off, but I think I would ruin the shoes. So a great flipflop, but it has issues, not sure if I can overcome the plastic tube.
I read the other reviews before I ordered these and I am glad that I did. I usually wear between an 8 and an 8 1/2 so, keeping in mind that other reviewers have said about the sandals running a bit small I ordered a 9, which fits well. Overall I found the sandals comfortable although, as others have mentioned, the tube thing on the thong between my toes isn't quite right. It doesn't rub excessively or dig in anywhere but it is just a bit thicker than I would like. I am reluctant to cut it off for fear that the thong would be abrasive or would separate. As it is the sandals do work out well for me, and I believe that I can become accustomed to the slightly thick thong piece so I do not want to possibly make the situation worse.
I live in Florida and wear flip flops all year long, these are Awesomely comfortable and well fitting shoes!!! Thick rubber sole that will last longer than most flip flops and are slip proof with great tread!! The upper material is super soft and the foot bed is heavenly comfortable!!! The center piece between my toes is the same as nearly every pair of flip flops I have ever owned!! Since I have worn flips for so long I have a wide upper foot, sometimes I have to buy a half or full size larger if I can't find 8 Wide, however these size 8 fit me Perfect!!!! So also great for wide feet (which most regular flip flop wearer has....LOL)!!! Great price on these for the superb quality, wish they came in more colors!! Thank you!!!
These are the best flip-flops - they have great support and cushioning when I walk. I basically live in flip-flops since I live in Texas. Only when it's below 50 do I get out "real" shoes! I have "monkey toes" - meaning my big toe has a bit of separation between the other toes so this style of flip-flop with the band that goes between the big toe and the others is, at least for me, more comfortable than other types (like slides or clogs). Every day I walk down a gravel road to pick up my mail at the group mail box - regular rubber flip-flops don't cushion my feet enough with the gravel poking the bottoms, but the amount of cushion and support present in these sandals makes the walk to the mailbox pleasant.
I wear a size 10 in flip flops and was looking forward to these as they looked well made and nicely cushioned. Sadly, though marked a 10 were not at all 10s. My foot hung off the back badly. A relative who is a size 8.5 fits in them. Very disappointed.
It has been many years since I tried a thong sandal and I had hopes I would be able to wear these. Unfortunately, the piece that fits between my toes doesn’t work with my feet. I know there are many with this problem so I am writing this review to alert you. The shoe itself is springy and comfortable but the thong digs into the sides of my toes like some kind of torture device. It is back to a slide for me.
