I just received these. Love them so far. As pictured, very cute, sturdy and the fit was just right for me. I am a US size 8 and always order a 38 in Alegria shoes. These are very comfy this first day, though have not really worn them except in the house so far. I expect them to stay comfy as every other Alegria shoe has for me, and will update if these turn out differently.UPDATE: Drop 2 stars because these sandals are squeaking like crazy on each step I take, especially on wood floors. Sounds like I'm wearing rubber boots while walking through water (on wood floors, though). Will update again when I wear then in in a few weeks.Okay final update: I love these sandals! star for sure! The squeak I mentioned went away the very next day, never to return. So I'm super happy with these and am about to order additional pair in another color. Woot!!
I already had a pair in the Peace print and seeing them 1/2 price here, I went ahead and ordered the Sugar Skull print. I have about 8 pair of Alegria sandals. This style is made for wearing at the pool or around water in general. They’re not waterproof, but getting them wet isn’t an issue, so they’re perfect for summer.They fit extremely well and they’re really comfortable to wear, supporting my entire foot/feet. The insole material can make my feet feel sweaty, but it’s not like my feet or slipping and sliding or anything. Again, the material isn’t the typical Alegria materials for a reason. On the other hand, because of how they’re made, I’ll never end up with squeaky shoes like some of my Alegria with the removable footbeds, so that’s a plus.All in all these are great sandals that serve a purpose and I’m very happy with my purchase.
alegria is a well-made sandal..altho some are very clunky looking ..usually tooo much so for a small foot but these are much more streamlined..great looking patent leather which you don't see much of any more. love em! and extremely comfortable too.
Most of the time Alegria shoes are too wide for my foot. And since I have a left foot 9 1/2 and right 9, in these I sized 39. Because they are adjustable with Velcro, they fit very comfortably. Whereas, I must wear a 40 in shoes with toes/heel enclosed or toes and strap, but then they are too large to wear without socks. These are comfortable to walk in and different foot bed than normal. I like them very much. I got these and the 'red' which is really a salmon/pink color and also very cute.
They fit well. They are a little clunky, but do not squeak like my other Alegria shoes. The foot bed is soft, very comfortable, but does make the bottom of my feet sweat and it gets a little slippery when that happens. Will not wear them when I am going to be outside in heat for very long. They just don't have that wow factor I was expecting as the print on the straps is a little too muted for my taste. All in all, a good buy.
I have owned a pair of these same exact shoes but in white patent. I have been wearing them for about 6 years and they still look brand new. They are comfortable right out of the box. No break in time needed. I have been wearing Alegria shoes for over 10 years. I am a nurse and have never been disappointed with these shoes. If your on the fence about these sandals or Alegria in general jump off and go for it, you wont be sorry. Just pay attention to the sizing its European sizing.
This sandal looks pretty, but the fit doesn't feel as secure, and there is a piece in the middle that comes up too far on my instep. I will wear them for an occasion, but they are not that comfy for extended walking, which is one of the things I love about my Alegria shoes. I would not buy this style again.
I get compliments every time I wear these sandals. The red patent is super cute and they are very comfortable. I only suggest putting Lume on your feet before you wear them so they don't get stinky.
