ALDO Men's AMBANI Moccasin, Cognac, 9.5 Review

I bought this a Christmas gift for my fiance. We had sized up in a local store and I bought this online because the style was not available in store. When I gifted him we found it to be smaller than the sizing expected. He can't even slip it on! I live outside of the US so I would have had to pay an additional fee to obtain, shipping back would be costly as well.

I've always been a fan of Aldo shoes and these loafers are no exception. They have an understated elegance about them, and are made of genuine leather. The stamp that states these are leather is located on the inside bottom of the shoe. The quality of the leather will help the shoes to keep their shape. I liked the streamlined design of these loafers and they give them a superior look and feel.I have wider feet and although these loafers felt a bit tight when I first put them on, they are supple enough to conform to my individual size after wearing these several times. The soles had good grip, even in wet weather. These will definitely be a staple shoe that I wear often.

They’ve been tested over indoors/outdoors. Through wet grass, rocks, climbing in and out of my car on a rainy day and even a few lengthy commutes. In the short timespan I’ve worn them, not once did I feel discomfort while pressing my foot down on the pedals or while climbing up and down steps. For someone who uses wide sized shoes occasionally for dress shoes, these had the ideal cushioning and width to not cause discomfort in the sides of my feet. The insoles are super gentle with the appropriate resistance being generated when sliding your feet into these Cognac colored slide in dress shoes. Wow what a pleasure it has been walking in these. Very light: almost as if I wasn’t even wearing shoes. The traction on the bottoms remind me of car tires: there’s no way you’ll be slipping and sliding while wearing these. The grip you’ll have to the ground is superb. I recommend only wearing your cleanest thin dress socks for these as your feet will be snug should you attempt wool socks or athletic/sport socks. Also, these are slide in so the upper lip is thin and reveals a lot of your socks while wearing a suit, casual or denim jeans. Even though it’s only been a few days since I’ve worn them, straight out of the box they’ve immediately become my go to pair. They wipe off easily and go with just about any type of look you’ll need. Combined with a cognac colored belt and socks with no holes, this pair of fashionable slides will definitely be the ideal choice for those days I want to look great but not complain about soreness later. Speaking of toes, I usually order 10 1/2s and still had about a toe nails room of space from heel to toe. I was concerned that these would be too tight, but that concern has now faded. Figment was spot on given I have a bit wider foot requirement. Something to keep in mind if you are a medium or a narrow dress shoe size user.

The style of these shoes is amazing! They are a little small and may require to be broken in for a more comfortable fit. Highly recommend it, size up!!

Upfront disclosure: I received these through the Amazon Vine program for review.The other day I was going through the closet and I could not figure out why I didn't have any brown shoes (I did eventually find one pair of dress shoes I had misplaced in our move). That same day I found these on Vine and got all kinds of excited. I used to order driving Moccasins all the time since I am a 3-pedal car guy. These loafers have a heel that matches the design of my driving shoes (yeah I know...I am a bit of a nerd). Since these looked similar I ordered them right away.As soon as they came I was sitting with my wife and I opened up the box and she got excited. I pulled out a shoe and showed it to her and immediately she went to smell the leather. It is rather nice leather. I have size 12 AA width feet and I slipped these on (with socks I already had on) and was really pleasantly surprised. They are narrow and fit my feet perfectly. Now since they are leather there is always the concern that they will stretch. If I order them again I might go a half size smaller if it is an option, but as they are out of the box, they fit like a dream. The details are quite nice on the shoes and they are really comfortable.I would/will order these again.

They are narrow shoe look. Looked great on me. Easy to break-in.These moccasin style slips-on's are easy on the feet too. No spots rubbed on my toes.I wear them with shorts and no socks. The look good in long pants too. They have 1/4 inch thick rubber soles so you do get a little ground-feel.The top quality leather is nice. The manufacturer says they are for year round wear, but I just got them in July (USA).They are made with a comfortable cushioned foam cushioned insole and are very easy to slip on and off if you buy them one size larger.

The shoes look sophisticated and felt stable when walking. Even when I had to walk around on a wet surface the shoes felt they had good traction. I rarely wear shoes without socks and when I did do with these shoes without wearing them around previously, one foot got a couple blisters, but that was my fault for not thinking about breaking them in especially without wearing socks. The product pictures accurately depict the shoes. Can’t ask for much more, but definitely try to break them in before wearing.
