I originally ordered the wrong size because it said I SHOULD size up a half size. That was a mistake. They were too big. I exchanged and they arrive the very next day and my usual size fits perfect. I should not have listened to the suggestion to order a half size bigger. The shoes are soooo very comfortable and great looking!
I was so excited to find these shoes. I have been looking for comfortable classy black “ballet flats" for years. (even tried channel - yikes). but, these are awesome. Higbly recommend - love the leather braiding.
These shoes are surprisingly comfortable. My size is usually consistent, but I went up in size. Thanks to all the other reviews that mentioned they ran small. Had it not been for that suggestion i think they would’ve been a little tight. But overall, they are very soft and great for casual wear.
I need a basic pair of shoes that I could wear with dressier outfits. As a 79 year old I wanted a flat, black real leather shoe the Betunia fits the bill. The fit is good, but would benefit from a bit more arch supported. This I corrected with a pair of slip in arch supports. The size 7 was true to size.
The Betunia style is an absolute winner, I have several pairs and have owned several more over the years that I've run into the ground. Since I know this style so well, it came as quite the surprise that this particular Betunia (Houndstooth design) didn't fit as expected in my regular size. It was a tad tighter than usual, and would be brushing oddly against my ankle, and with my sensitive skin would cause blisters in that spot. This is absolutely not a problem I've had before with the 10+ Betunias I've owned through the years. No idea what they did with this one, but there was a mistake somewhere along the line. Really hope it's just this style or this batch of shoes that has the problem and there wasn't a permanent change in the fit. Aerosoles needs to get on top of their quality control though.
I ordered a 7w and they were narrower than a regular width. The shoe itself was really nice.
Had these been less I would have kept them. I loved the texture of the material and they seemed very comfortable.
I discovered these shoes thirty years ago when they were called Mr. Softee. I don't know if they're exactly the same with a different name, but close enough. They look great with shorts, jeans, or dress pants. They're comfortable and should only be worn by one person as they form to the foot. I usually replace them about once every other year. They can break down and start looking sad. But, well worth it. Like I said, I've been buying them for 30 years.
