First off, I am a Redwing fan. That being said, the quality of these is fantastic. They have a terrible "oiled leather" smell at first that goes away in a week or so. The insole is awful and needs replaced ASAP. But for an extra $10 for good insoles (I recommend Dr Scholl's Work Insoles), and $5 for a bottle of mink oil, these go from a 2/10 up to a 8/10. I can't believe these are under $100! Fantastic look, great quality aside from the insole, and great welting/stitching. Comfortable as my redwing heritage boots once the insole is swapped out( I can't stress the insole replacement enough!) As for the review complaining about size, they do run slightly small. Go to your local Big R and size them yourself. Get a snug fit and remember, real leather boots are hell on your feet for a couple of weeks. Buy heavy merino Wool socks and suck it up for a few days, you'll be glad you did.
Very good boots for the price. It would be very difficult to find comparable work boots of this quality for this price range. These are great for yard work and gardening, farm work and even construction if you would like decent comfort with the added steel toe protection.
Boots took a couple of weeks to break in. But they were comfortable after that. However the soles of these boots wear down way too fast. Only lasted me a couple of months doing heavy construction.
Bought for my son same size as he wears and he said the steel toe was smaller than boots made in USA to bad. He like the fact that they were light weight won't buy shoes again not made in the USA very sad no gift for the tree 😨😞
Decent work boots for the price.
Terrible quality most of boot is a nice leather not great on comfort feels like wearing a cheap boot. However the sole came off right boot 2 hours after putting them on stay away not worth money or headache!
Left foot was fine right foot seemed a little small.
Love the boot, will buy more.
