When it comes to performance boots, the adidas Performance Men's GSG-9.4 Tactical Boot stands out due to its thoughtful design tailored for both functionality and comfort.
Comfort: The use of ADIPRENE cushioning under the heel is a significant advantage, especially during prolonged wear. Users frequently highlight how this feature minimizes impact stress and enhances overall walking comfort. Coupled with the OrthoLite sockliner that helps combat odor, these boots can keep you feeling fresh even after long hours.
Breathability and Waterproof Features: One of the essential features of the GSG-9.4 is its climaproof technology, which effectively keeps moisture out while allowing breathability. This ensures that your feet remain dry and comfortable in wet conditions, making them ideal for outdoor work or adventures.
Durability: Made with 100% leather, the rugged construction of these boots offers impressive protection against the elements. Their oil- and gasoline-resistant characteristics are particularly appreciated by those in industrial settings where exposure to chemicals is a concern.
Traction: The TRAXION outsole equipped with tactical lugs provides a secure grip on various terrains. Whether traversing slick surfaces or uneven ground, you can trust these boots to perform reliably.
Despite their many strengths, some users have reported a break-in period and potential sizing irregularities. It’s advisable to consider trying them on before purchase. However, once broken in, they tend to become exceptionally comfortable.

I recently started a walking assignment at work and have been looking for boots that were good for miles of walking with 25-30lbs of gear on. I'm recovering from a knee injury, I have plantar faciitis and a have sensitive tendons on the other forefoot. I get by with using Superfeet green insoles. I need a black tactical boot that has room for the orthotic, enough cushion to be comfortable for walking once you remove the insole. So many boots rely on a cushy short lasting insole for comfort and its such a rip off for quality manufacturing. These have plently of cushion without the standard insole and have a air pocket in the sole. They have awesome traction and while slightly heavier than standard light tactical boots, you just don't notice it. They are Addidas high tops with combat boot soles. They are that solid. They are waterproof as well. This is my winter walking boot so this was a must. They breath well but keep my feet warm. They have a short break in period... two shifts for me. They have good ankle support and moderate arch support with the standard insole. Many seem to say they are narrow. They loosen up as you break them in and mold to your foot. I can't believe how great they feel on my bad feet. I had been wearing Bates GX4s but these are so much more solid. I have bought Danners that were hand made and also their mass produced models that didn't provide a fit and the comfort of these. I'm buying a second pair. How long will they last? can't say yet but keep in mind that most athletic shoes are suppose to be replaced after 500 miles... thats 6 months for me (I'll find something without a waterproof membrane for summer, probably Addidas now) .. If I get a year of wear out of them, that's all you could ask... I highly recommend them.
Great product. I have narrow feet and the fit is perfect, however people with wide feet might not be happy at all. I expected a good product for a premium price and the craftsmanship is outstanding. The stitching is perfect and there are no imperfection. The inside is good material and the soles have a aggressive profile, which works in all weather conditions. The feeling on the feet is good, the inside is soft and it feels like the shoes were made for people who roll over the front of their foot rather than walking on their heels. So far so good I believe in my purchase. However I don't judge my purchse on the first impression alone. The good news are that a long term durability test is coming, which will equally concern the GSG product line. So far Adidas good job, my critisicm remains on the availability of shoes for people with wide feet... size matters. I also wasn't worried about the price but customers are not willing to pay that much, when similar shoemakers are offering a similar good product for a lot less. The positives are quality, fit and feel... for the rest... well time will tell...
The quality of this product exceeded my expectations. The quality of the leather, rubber sole and the inner workings of the shoe are all superior. Fit and comfort are comfortable. The boot does carry some weight which reflects the shoe's strong construction. Boots can used in the gym or casually. They look great.Highly recommend.
I have to get black boots for work since I'll be on my feet all day. I needed something with some support. I really like these boots but need them just a bit wider. Since these are men sizes and I needed women size, I was to order a 9 for my size 10 women. I ended up with 9.5 since the 9 were not available and figured that half a size wouldn't matter much. They are tighter fit even with the half size bigger. I also put in arch supports in my boots (another reason for wanting a wide size). My only wish is that I could get a wide size.
These were even more comfortable than expected and feel like they will last a long time. I would like to call out that the insoles were pretty much worthless, though. They were not only uncomfortable in and of themselves and provided poor arch support, but did not fit in the shoe properly (forming a crease along one edge). After I replaced them with some Superfeet insoles, I have nothing to complain about. Not deducting a star for this because I pretty much have this opinion about every pair of shoe I buy :P I would say that if you get a pair of these, plan to get some (any) other insole as well.
Too narrow, had to return.
Order these based on my experience with the Adidas GSG 9.2. These did not disappoint and where just as tough, waterproof and comfortable. Now the only question is if these will last as long as my GSG 9.2s, only time will tell.
When I first tried the boot on I thought it was going to be too narrow - I have a wider foot. But it actually broke in very quick and now they fit perfect - if you have a very wide foot than this boot may not be for you since they don’t come in a Wide.
