When you step onto the court in the adidas Men's Stabil X Cross Trainer, you'll immediately notice the difference in how you move. The regular fit ensures that your foot feels secure without being constricted, giving you the freedom to make quick lateral movements essential in handball. The lace closure provides an added layer of security, minimizing any risk of slipping during intense gameplay.
One standout feature is the abrasion-resistant TPU upper, which not only offers durability but also contributes to the shoe's lightweight nature. This means that you can focus on your performance rather than worrying about wear and tear, even during rigorous matches.
The responsive midsole is where this trainer truly shines. It has been designed to absorb shock and return energy, making each step more effective. Whether you're sprinting down the court or making those crucial pivots, this technology helps you conserve energy while maximizing your output.
However, like any product, it's important to note some drawbacks. While the limited color options may not cater to everyone’s taste, the overall aesthetic remains appealing for most athletes. Additionally, some users have mentioned that breaking in the shoes can take time, but once you do, you’ll appreciate the comfort and support they provide.

I have played a variety of court sports over the years, basketball, tennis, volleyball. Currently, I am playing "duffer" volleyball indoors in a gym. I had a pair of Asics Gel tennis shoes that are very similar to the Gel Rocket. They are good shoes. These, though, are another level. The traction is terrific and doesn't seem to be as susceptible to getting "dusty," making you want to wipe off the bottoms. I feel like any decent shoe offers adequate cushioning, so I'm not placing much emphasis on that.More importantly, though, the plastic "cage" at the heel offers better heel and ankle support than most high tops. They are not light for low-quarter shoes, but the support is unreal. They do have a smallish foot opening and it is not flexible, especially to the rear, so they are a bit difficult to get on. They may be a bit narrow for many feet. But the support . . . and the traction is surprising as well.
Bought this shoe for racquetball at a club that is notorious for not properly sweeping and mopping their courts. The grip on this shoe is phenomenal, very little slippage on dirty courts and no slippage if the court is remotely clean. Very happy with that aspect. I docked one star as the weight of the shoe takes some adjustment...I've adjusted now, but for someone that typically wears a low profile running shoe, in general life, this shoe took me longer than expected to get used to.
Having been a fan of the Adipower Stabil 10.1 which has been discontinued, I turned to the next big thing in the Adidas stab(i)le.This shoe does not disappoint. It is grippy on court (squash), light despite the appearance of heft, and the mid-cut was surprisingly tolerable. I've only worn it a few times, but I can tell that this is going to last a few years. The seller was great too.
My knees have never felt better. I love Adidas because I feel like they target the average foot width customer as opposed to Nike which have more narrow soles.
Great for racquetball!
I had to return the shoes because they were too small. And the merchant did not refund the purchase price back to my original purchase method (my Amazon Visa card) but instead refunded the purchase price in the form of an Amazon gift card. I was not particularly happy about that . . .
Purchased for my teenage son playing club volleyball. He said they fit well, but were significantly heavier than his current shoes (Mizuno). He liked the look, but decided to return them in favor of a lighter shoe.
I love these shoes and wish they fit but they are too narrow for my wide feet.
