The Ad Tec Men's 6" Goodyear Welt Construction Ankle Boot stands out due to its durable build and comfortable design. The full-grain leather construction not only offers excellent water resistance but also develops a unique patina over time, enhancing its aesthetic appeal. This boot is equipped with a Goodyear welt, which adds to its durability and allows for resoling when necessary, making it a smart investment.
Comfort is another hallmark of these boots, thanks to the Comfort Cushion Insole that adapts to your foot's shape, providing support whether you are on your feet all day at work or enjoying outdoor activities during weekends. The soft toe design grants ample flexibility but may not be ideal for those requiring maximum toe protection in industrial settings.
Equipped with an oil-resistant, lightweight outsole, the Ad Tec boots ensure stable footing on various surfaces—an essential feature for anyone who works outdoors or in environments where slips and falls could be a concern.
Maintenance is simple, involving periodic cleaning with a shoe brush and conditioning every few weeks to keep the leather supple and moisture-resistant. This low maintenance requirement makes these boots even more appealing.

Have had them for a few weeks now. They are clearly genuine leather. The soles are suprisingly stiff, as is the rest of the boot. The ankle, tongue, and heel area is rough side in leather. The top arch and toe has a thin, unpadded fabric lining. The cuff padding appears to be very soft pigskin leather with a thin layer of foam. The welt strip is dark brown on my pair. Some pictures and many other listings show a navy blue welt strip. They appear to be made pretty well. I'm happy that I found an unlined leather boot without a bunch of unwanted features. I absolutely hate it when a leather boot has multiple synthetic layers and a bunch of padding. A boot like this will break in and be a perfect fit. A foam stuffed, goretex lined boot will always fit like a sack of jello. You get no structure, no protection, and pounds of extra cheap materials to make the boot squishy and clumsy. These must run slightly large. I usually wear a 12E or 13D but a 12D in this boot seems fine with my normal work socks. I bought them for casual wear, hiking, and working on personal projects. I work in a heavy industry that requires steel toes, so I won't be testing these on the clock. They are significantly lighter than my 8" steel toe work boots. I'd say after a few weekends of casual wear they are broken in. I applied Sno-Seal lightly to help them soften up just a bit. The tread is even somewhat OK on the ice and snow, about as good as a sneaker. Still very happy
This is an Awesome boot. I am so pleased with them. There is not a single thing deficient about them at all. Highly recommend!!!
The leather upper is nice. It’s thick, sturdy, and smells like well-tanned dead cow. The laces and speed hooks hold on tighter than a Democrat clinging to a tax dollar. No problems there. The color is great, very even and not quite as “orange” as the picture. They fit true to size and cover the Frankenstein stumps at the end of my legs just fine. They’re pretty comfortable right out of the box, so I don’t think full break-in is gonna be a big deal. They’re not Red Wings, and you shouldn’t expect that at this price point. If you want a reasonable, comfortable boot because you like boots, these are just fine. If you’re looking to impress all your hipster fashion friends at the local free-range IPA tasting, these aren’t the ones.6-Month Update: The boots are still holding up pretty well. The soles haven’t delaminated, split, or otherwise given up. All of the stitching has held up better than the first-reputation of most politicians. Fair wear and tear on the leather, but no worse than any other boot. After six months of daily wear, I’m still happier with these boots than I am with my boss or my job. They’re still in great shape (unlike the people at my high school reunion) and I expect plenty more service from them.
I ordered the 6 inch Ad Tec and the top is 8 inch to high for me to wear so I cut them off to 6 inch so I could the size of my legs will not let me wear an 8 inch to tight on lower part of legs.
THESE ARE REALLY NICE BOOTS! NOT SURE OF THE WATERPROFF BUT WANTED THEM FOR EVERYDAY USE NOT FOR WORKING IN THEM. THEY HAD A GOOD ENSOLE BUT DECIDED TO PUT SOME NEW ONES ON TOP OF THEM MAKING THEM MORE COMFORTABLE THAN THEY ARE WITHOUT. OUT OF ALL THE BRANDS AND SOME OF THE BRANDS BEING CHEAPER OR THE SAME THESE DONT LOOK CHEAP! THEY LOOK GREAT QUAILITY!! GOT THEM PRETTY FAST! I GOT THEM FOR MY BIRTHDAY! I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND THEM FOR EVERYDAY USE. FOR AS WORKING IN THEM I CANT TELL U CAUSE I WONT WORK IN THEM.
Just received this item. Overall the quality seems very good but the top speed lace pulled out on the first tie and the top eyelet above that is misaligned with the hole. I will adapt by doing a repair myself rather than bothering with a return. They need just a little more quality control to call it excellent.Dec 8, 22 I've been wearing them heavily. The soles are worn through to the point that the hollow spaces molded into the soles have become apparent. Very poorly made and not worth the money. The uppers are good and I will try to attach new and more durable soles.
So far so good comfortable well made very light came on time packed very well with the invoice inside the boot box
Leather is a little weak but that’s what you get for a cheap pair of boots. They do the job well
