When I first got these, they were th most uncomfortable boots I had every had the misfortune of wearing. My feet were raw, they looked great, but boy did they hurt.2 years later: these are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They fit my feet perfect. Really leather, water and oil resistant, beautiful look. I would wear these to the grocery store, as well as in to battle. These boots also saved my feet when getting attacked by dogs (I am a dog trainer. They go after feet often)Sturdy, flexible, gorgeous these are THE boots.Eventually I would like to get them cobbled with different soles, so I can wear them hiking. The heel is stylish and angled, great for looks and county walks, but I want these to be used for everything, that heel can dangerous with a wrong step! All in all, amazing! Give it a couple months of good wear before they break in, but buy today!
very well-made boot, very comfortable no break in time required. I’ve been wearing them straight out of the box for two days, awesome!
Been wearing a pair since 2019 and they have been great. Ordered a replacement pair and not so much. It's like they did not trim the outsole?? There's .25" too much outsole sticking out after the welt. And they are trimmed / ground horribly on these new ones. I'm going to return and see if another one is better because I love the old ones. Nails are extremely poorly placed compared to the old ones as well.Maybe different staff making them? Hoping I can still get a good pair! They usually fit great and last very well for the price.
The leather on these boots is wonderful. Overall construction seemed good as well. THE problem that only became apparent after these boots were worn a few times (JUST enough to not be returnable) is that the heel design/construction threw my feet out of alignment. VERY uncomfortable. Since I cannot return the boots for even a partial refund, I'll be donating them to a local 501c3--$120+ tax down the drain. My wife was considering ordering comparable boots in her size, but based on my experience, she's decided not to. Buyer beware and be SURE to try on and be VERY aware of any potential fit/comfort issues right away.
I'll be honest, the boots are tight FOR ME but I have hugely wide feet & when I ordered them, this was completely expected. I struggle to buy boots anyway & i thought i'd try these because the price was right & i know I cannot buy proper slip on cowboy boots to ride in. Mostly I end up with very round toed work boots or super heavy duty hiking/hunting boots.I had low expectations of these.I've only had them a day & they were incredibly tight to put on the first time. However, I could get them on (which is always a good start for me! ) & i decided to forego the return option..... i laced them up as tight as I could, then stood in a bath full of warm water until they were saturated. I've been wearing them for 10 straight hours now, they're 95% dry & have formed PERFECTLY to my feet. They are incredibly supple in the flex areas of my feet, while maintaining a solid horse-hoof deflecting stiffness in the toe. The sole is supple & the heel easy to walk on.I will definitely buy them again. You'll want to size up by a half size at least.EDIT TO ADD: I wore them all day yesterday on a 9 hour trail ride. Absolutely comfortable & they've broken in perfectly. I couldn't be happier with them!
Fits like a glove, just wore them around house for 3 hours. Felt great the whole time, a bit tight getting on, loosened up to just right at the end. No wear points noted. Construction & materials are top notch expect them to last decades, not just a few years. Came well oiled and finished, will use for office, & occasional feeding the horses. Added: were them around town yesterday, still exceeds expectations, very comfortable, looks good, still love them!
Edit 07/22/2033: I broke these boots in on my toughest hiking experience. These aren't the most comfortable boots, but they are about standard comfort. The arch support took time for me to get used to.The leather is good but I'm not so sure about the string used for the stitching. I'm no expert but shortly after I made this review, a small break in the stitching occurred. Once that happened, the rest of it started coming undone from that point. I wear these almost daily and haven't taken care of these boots at all. So this was expected.I don't know how to sew but I read up on it and restitched it using the lockstitch technique. Even if one part breaks, it won't unravel like the rest.
