My husband wanted house slippers, but he complains that most slippers make his feet too hot. I love my Acorn brand slippers, so I was happy to find these. My husband likes them and wears them everyday. He says they protect his feet on our hardwood floors but don’t overheat him. They have held up to several washings. I will definitely buy another pair when the current pair wears out. The only downside is that the flap often gets turned under and stuck inside because my husband just jams his feet into these slippers without looking. It doesn’t bother him, but if you want the flap to stay out, you will need to use your hands or pull it out.
Just received today and have been wearing them since. They are comfortable for walking around the house and would recommend based on my initial rating.
Well, I love the look of these slippers. They are significantly more flimsy than I prefer the backs flatten quite easily, and there is not a lot of plush padding on the inside otherwise makes for a, great slipper.
It's definitely brown, not black, in case you were confused by the picture & the color name. That being said, it's a great, comfortable slipper.
I normally wear a size 12 or 13, so I was surprised that I could barely get these 12-13 slippers on my feet. I think I eventually wore them in a bit because they did get easier to put on over time. It would be nice if the little loop on the back was big enough to get a finger in to help put them on. They have zero stretch to them, so I imagine if they were easy to put on, they would feel loose. The slight tongue also folds in when you put the slippers on, so you have to manually pull it out most of the time.I like how thin and breathable they were, especially in the summer. Unlike my previous pair of slippers, they didn't make my feet sweaty. The fabric has a nice, natural feel and look to it. However, after a few months, the padding between the inner part of the slipper and the rubber sole came loose and started bunching up, so that there are uncomfortable lumps under my feet. Today I decided that unevenness was probably responsible for the foot and leg pain I've been having lately and decided to stop wearing them.
I bought these slippers in Jan. 2021 and one of the soles just blew out today in Aug. 2022. They lasted a long time with daily wear indoors and occasionally outdoors and stayed comfortable the whole time. The padding will start to compress about 6 months in.The only downside is your feet will get sweaty if you wear them on hot days.
Bought the 9-10 since I wear a 9 1/2. They are very loose on the feet. I returned them for a refund.
At this point I wouldn't buy any other brand of slipper than Acorn...
