Who grew up in the 80s and didn't see Tretorns around?I love these shoes. They replace a pair of white Nylites I had for years which ultimately became too worn to wear. And by years, I mean about 7 years.Fit is perfect. Pairs very well with white pants, or to add a bit of something-something to the standard men's red-shorts-blue-shirt ensemble. As they are canvas, break in was nonexistent. Only real issue is something Tretorn can't do anything about, really - they are white, so don't spill things on them.Very good shoes, very comfortable, and ideal for casual outfits.
Buying shoes online, especially more niche brands can be a risk but these fit perfectly for me (Male, 11.5). I have a white/blue design and they look excellent. As far as walking and everyday use, the shoes are comfortable and breathable. However, avoid puddles as the material is not water repellent! Running is okay, but these are fashion/tennis sneakers, not joggers. Overall these are an understated, clean alternative to more mainstream brands.
Love them so much so comfy feel like your walking on clouds i will definitely buy more pairs like this in different colors
I bought my first pair of Tretorn sneaks in 1974. It was blatantly obvious to me that I had found a sneaker for life and bought all six pairs the store had in stock in my size. One of the few smart things I’ve done. The last pair died last month. Ordered ONE pair (I’m an old man now) from Amazon and upon opening the box was a little disappointed that they had stopped padding the tongue …. just a flat, stiff strip of canvas. This is a problem. The top edge of the tongue is like a dull knife pressing against the top of my ankle leaving a red line of irritated skin across my ankle. Damn. This will correct itself over time but I don’t want to put up with that. I’ve bent back the top of the tongue and clamped them with clothes pins hoping that will solve it. If not, I’m gonna be forced to pull out my heavy duty scissors. Pro tip: A good spraying with Scotchgard water repellent goes a long way in keeping ‘em clean.
Great quality sneakers that retain all of the classic styling. Takes me back to my school days... It's the late 80s, Prep is alive, and The Joshua Tree LP is spinning on the family stereo system. Reclaim your past in this iconic sneakers or at least relive someone else's fortunate enough to live through that era. Keep a look out for a Vaurnet [red/white/blue] tee reissue and your life will be complete...
I feel like I just put back 1987 on my feet! Too bad they wont give me the body and hair and all those good things! Well, maybe not the mullet! From what I remember, there is not much difference in these than the ones they made years ago. Here is one thing u might want to know. If u wear a 9, or a 9 1/2, then get a size 9 or 9 1/2. They fit true to size. At least the pair I got did.
I bought the all white ones in size 7. The fit was just a tad big, but this is the smallest size they offer. They look awesome, however they get these yellowish stains on the edges and I had only worn them once. I cleaned it and the second time I wore them I got more of those same stains. I don't know what it's from. My guess is maybe my foot sweat is causing that. I have had white shoes before and NEVER had this happen. This sucks because they look amazing and go with any color pants. If it wasn't for the staining they would get five stars!!
Did not fit my wife.
