I like the look of these shoes and the mission of the company. However, these slip ons are so narrow that I couldn't get the past my toes.I gave them to a buddy that has more narrow feet than mine and he couldn't put them on either.Granted, I have very wide feet, but I can generally at least squeeze them into narrow shoes. It's not comfortable, but I can do it.Not so much with these.Bummer.If you've got super narrow feet, these may be the shoes for you.
My husband looked at these and put them to the side. I had him try them on and he didn't react one way or the other. They look nice enough. I picked them up and they are light. Finally got him to try them on and he was like they're good. That is a mouthful. He likes them.
This is the first pair of TOMS I have owned. Here is what I like about them:- They are very comfortable. Usually I use inexpensive shoe inserts to add a bit of cushion, but I don't think I'm going to need to with these.- They run true to size. I find that when I try on my size it can range about a half a size different with some shoes. However, with these I ordered my usual size and they fit great! My feet lean toward narrow rather than wide, and these are snug on me.- They are almost slipper-like, but the soles are shoe soles and the shoe looks stylish enough to wear as a casual shoe with nice jeans and a button front shirt.A few things to consider:- I'm not too concerned about the ecological responsibility side of TOMS, but if a person is, this is the shoe for them. It is all described in the product posting.- I got the Vetiver color, which to me looks kind of tan in the product posting. Well, it's not tan. It's more of a very light green color, which is much harder to match with what I own.- They were under $37 when I got them, now up to about $53, so one might be able to save quite a bit by keeping and eye on the price as it fluctuates.
Nice shoes really comfortable fit looks good in casual wear
Love the way these look. They were a smidge tight and a bit uncomfortable. If I'm wearing them to dinner they are tolerable but I don't think I would wear them all day
I typically wear a men's size 12 shoe, and that's what I ordered. They fit perfectly. I do have a somewhat narrow foot, but there is some flexibility in that regard with these shoes. They are comfortable on the feet. And they are lighter than they appear. Since they don't tie I won't wear them for athletic/sports use. They didn't move around on my foot while walking around, but when engaged in something athletic I like something that I know isn't going to move or come off. I suppose you could wear these for sporting activities, but that's not my intent. Instead I'll likely wear them on cruises with my linen wear. The light grey I ordered is a neutral color and should fit in with different shades of linen clothing (some natural, some white, some grey).I am quite pleased with these shoes. They seem solidly constructed.
I'm a fan of the TOMS. These slip-on sneakers off an appealing alternative to sandals. They are lightweight, decent traction and easy to slip on. The size runs a bit large and lack of arch support. But that can be fixed by replacing the insoles. The stitching and construction of the shoes are top notch.
