I love these booties! They are (surprisingly to me) sturdy and have held up in the snow and ice. They are also very warm. Temperature dropped to -5 with -30 degree wind chill for almost a week and my feet didn't feel it. My legs and face did. But my feet stayed cozy and warm throughout. I walk in them all day comfortably. My only gripe is that salt and pebbles easily get kicked inside and I am always taking them off to shake them out. But I think these are last seasons booties because I hear the newer ones have a tighter ankle. So I wont take a star away.
Very comfortable and warm! So cute! I get a lot of compliments when I wear them!
Perfect casual comfy boot
I needed some warm, comfortable shoes for walking the dog and running errands in winter. I was hesistant to get these because of all the reviews about rubbing and stiffness. And those reviews were right, but it does improve! They're light hiking boots so I think you're supposed to wear tall socks, hence the scratchy ankle cuff. It did soften up after a few weeks and I can wear them without tall socks on short walks now. The elastic gores have also softened up and getting them on/off is less of a battle. The footbed is probably a little flatter than standard Teva sandals, but is basically the same material. They are really warm and seem pretty rain/wind resistant (but probably not completely waterproof). I'd say they're worth it if you're willing to put up with a few weeks' breaking-in-period, and hopefully they'll last!
Comfy and keeps my feet warm
I got these shoes because I loved the way they look. They are true to size. I tried to wear them hiking in rocky terrain and they do not perform to well as the sole does not give. Otherwise it is a very comfortable and nice looking shoe
I really wanted to like these. We camp a lot, and are now extending our camping season into colder weather and I was looking for something easy and warm to slip on after a day of hiking, to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, to walk the dog in the morning, etc. Since the grass is usually wet during the night and in the morning I also wanted something that would keep my feet dry. These shoes did not fit the bill. They are really, really hard to get on. The elastic entrance is so tight that it takes a solid couple of minutes and some cramped muscles to get on. They are pretty warm, but one walk through dew wet grass was enough to know that their water resistance is complete crap. I sent them back.
For starters, these are really cute and warm. I wanted a pair of booties for errands and walks around the neighborhood, and I think these will work well for that.Pros:- They’re sized right. Teva’s tend to run on the small size, but if you order by your EU size, they should fit.- They’re cute and warm.Cons:- The seam on the outside of the foot (#1 in picture) is noticeable on the inside of the shoe. It lifts and tilts my foot slightly inward in the shoe.- There is very little arch support, which is pretty typical for Teva’s, which wouldn’t have been an issue if the seam on the outside of the foot wasn’t pushing my foot inwards.- Because the seam is pushing my foot inwards and there’s no arch support, the seam at the top of the shoe (#2 in picture) presses and rubs on the pressure point just above the ankle. In general I do like them, and I am planning to keep them, but I will probably need to get inserts to make them more comfortable, counteract the pressure from the seam on the outside edge, and balance it out with arch support.I’ll give it 3 stars for being cute, but for a shoe this expensive from a solid brand, the seam should have been addressed before it hit the market.
