I accidentally stumbled on this brand in DSW while shopping for a pair of walking shoes for an upcoming trip. I only wear Dansko and Spenco, but tried on Soft Walk at the store. They felt amazing- so stylish and such good quality. I ran home and ordered this pair. My second pair should arrive tomorrow. Removable footbed is perfect for an orthotic, but they look so hip!
I purchased a 12AA for my Brannock Device measurement to arch length - foot is long to forefoot with short toes.Footbed fit: The Willis 12N fits closer to a AAA. That’s fine across the forefoot, but the last has too little space for the big and pinkie toes. Softwalk, toeboxes should resemble actual splayed feet, not imaginary pointy fashion feet! If I had longer toes as expected, they would absolutely be crushed for length. Recommend going up a half size if you are a 12 for foot length.Depth fit: the shoe comes with removable insoles- On me with insoles the heel cup is too short and slips; too deep without. The forefoot depth is snug with and way deep without.I can use the shoes with insoles and thin socks as dress shoes; hoping the insole will break down. If I need to actually walk miles in them I’d consider removing the insole and wearing fluffy socks to fill in the depth. Either way the toes pinch too much for these to be a wise choice for city shoes walking 2-4 miles a day.Btw the outsole looks like soft cushion material but is super hard- rather do want the insole for a bit of cushion. Meanwhile, looking forwards to having the leather layer mold to the shape of my foot.
I am usually wear a size 8 B and these are a perfect fit. Super comfortable and soft. I purchased the navy color and I’m very please with the shade of blue. They look great with jeans and dress pants. I was in search of an Oxford style that would be comfortable on the cobblestones of Europe. I have a narrow heel and these do slip a bit, hoping socks or perhaps a heel grip will solve the problem. Will update review when I return.
I love this brand. They are one of the few that care about women with wide feet. But I’m coming to realize that men and women shoes are just not made equally. I actually ended up ordering men’s Rockford’s in wide. The shoes have a replaceable last and honestly they are so comfortable. If you have wide feet as a woman I need to dress professionally every day I suggest you look into men’s oxfords. I called mine the church boy 3000. Life’s to short to be in discomfort. I hope they increase their quality with shoes that are resolvable so people can keep them for life.
I am so bummed. I got these shoes in August and I have probably worn them a total of five times. Today (October), I noticed that they were peeling. Yes. You read that right. Imagine this shiny gray plastic stretched over the shoe base. If you scuff them at all, this thin plastic peels off of the shoe. It’s almost like when your nail polish peels off in one pull. So sad! They are comfortable and look cool but $70 for that is terrible!
I liked the shoes but they do run small. Tried to exchange for larger size but they went from the original price of around $50 to $109 for the larger size. Too much for me
I was hesitant to order a suede "tennis/gym" shoe. These are stunning! They are dressier than a plain tennis shoe. They look great with almost everything! I also purchased the red ones too!! (Gorgeous)
I have severe spine degeneration and in most shoes I am so stiff by the end of the day, I have some difficulty walking. These shoes not only are super comfortable, they make a difference in the pain in my spine. Really like them
