California nostalgia at its best! Love the fit and comfort!
Love these sneakers. Similar to another very popular brand that I own, VANS. The look and feel of the Seavees are great. Would recommend sizing up a 1/2 size as I needed to in order to get a good fit. Only a half size adjustment. Recommend picking up a pair especially if you have a discount code or find a great deal as I feel I did.
Great casual shoe. Gray color goes with everything
Really nice looking, but were way too wide. Felt like I was 5 years old wearing my fathers shoes. Returning them.
While my feet may lean slightly to the narrower side, I have always worn a standard (D) width without problem. These shoes seemed excessively wide in both look and feel and this was accentuated by them being slip-ons. - They are being returned.
Bought this for my husband to replace his croc loafers and he loves them. The neutral color is great for summer time and goes well with many outfits (casual office wear included). The fit is great and true to size. It does not rub against the ankle bone or back of heel.
Casual dress
In a small field of suede slip-ons, the SeaVees Hawthorne is good enough for a price that is good enough. A day-to-day slip-on shoe that doesn't break the bank and is usable for errands around the house. The suede stains more easily than any suede I've owned and the insole has very light padding and minimal structure. I prefer the Ecco Soft 7 due to its structured arch support and better build quality, but selection and availability lately has been suspect for the Ecco and paying over $150 just doesn't seem worth it for a shoe not made in Europe ("Danish design" doesn't mean Danish-made). To Boot has great options if your foot is very narrow or you don't mind clown shoes (for a wider foot, you have to size up considerably, making the length just short of ludicrous). Huckberry has the beautiful, Italian-made Astorflex with superb suede quality and a comfortable insole, but the heel is ridiculously wide and flops around your ankle with huge gaps. Other suede slipons tend to be extremely expensive (over $300).Bottom line: good enough to tide you over until someone actually builds a shoe that works better and is not overpriced.
