I needed a walking shoe that was excellent for shock absorbtion and these fit the bill for me. I also have arthritus in all of my toes in both feet--and these shoes give me the ability to walk without pain.
This would have been a keeper if only the heel had not been so wide. I even put an insole in both shoes but my heel still slid around. It was just too wide. Great on the arch, great in the toe box, just a really wide heel. I have worn Ryka shoes for years and this is the first pair I think I've ever had to return. I really liked the shoe style.
My 2nd pair of Ryka shoes for women and I am in love with their products. Soft, pretty designs and excellent fit. Comfortable and excellent support for all day wear. I wore my previous sneaker so much over a year and a half (lots of working/walking), I wore them out. Tried a different design this time and I'm finding the same experience as my 1st pair. I get lots of compliments from friends and I highly recommend them. I am a devoted customer!
These are no wider than my average sneakers and forget to try to wear them with socks, the no lace-up gives you no room to open them up to make them easier to put on, and the heel collapses, I have a shoehorn and still barer managed to get them on, and I tried them for one day no way was I going to torture myself another day with these, one shoe wasn't as bad as the other, so was one bigger than the other? IDK, but I wasn't spending damn near $50 dollar to keep them.
I have many pairs of Ryka shoes and these did not disappoint.The fit and support is good and I love the slip-on laces. No more constant tying of my forever-untying sneaker laces.
I need supporting orthotics in all my shoes and these do have removable insoles. The original insoles appear to have adequate arch support but I did need to add metatarsal padding. The white and pink ombré color is lovely but the fabric attracts soil like a white cat! That is my only complaint about this shoe.
This is the second pair I’ve purchased for my wife. They are are comfortable and stylish. When she wears these out, it is likely another pair will be purchased.
I had another pair of this brand but this pair is a bit clunkier, I.e., I think more rubber on bottom. Order the same size but this one seems bigger on my foot.
