I'll say right off, that I had to reorder half a size up. I have Morton's foot, and my normal size 9 hurt my second toe; as it is longer. The shoe is lovely. I hate garish tennis shoes and wish manufacturers would offer more sedate colors alongside the vibrant ones. This is probably the most comfortable tennis shoe I've ever worn. Except maybe for my Hoka 101's that finally gave up the ghost after 6 years of hard service. These shoes are made for women's feet. The heel cup is snug and comfy. The lacing system is quick and laces stay tied. They are balanced perfectly and light weight. I don't even notice I have them on. I've worn them every day for a month. Still as form fitting as the day I bought them. Beautiful fit. Some folks have said the toe box is shorter than it used to be. I had to order half a size up and gave the 9's to my neighbor who adores them. So do keep that in mind. Especially if your second toe is longer. Happy walking!
I had a pair so this is my second. They have a clean classy look which I love. The fit if the big winner. I have slightly narrow ankles and these don’t slip or slide on me. The design along the side of the shoe gives structure at the base but flexibility towards the upper portion. They aren’t heavy at all. They are overly light like a knit walking shoe “Sketcher “ but still comfy for everyday. You could use these for heavier activity.
I’ve purchased several Ryka sneakers in the past and they were extremely comfortable. This last pair, when placed next to my old pair, appears slighter shorter with a smaller toe box. Disappointed that my size 8 1/2 sneaker needs to now be a size 9. Wish I had known that before I purchased them.
Comfortable shoes but not for standing all day
Love the look of this shoe. I bought this brand because I had two other styles that fit beautifully and were comfortable. The back of this shoe keeps rubbing the back of my heel to the point of breaking skin and bleeding. After my first walk I bled on them and would not request a refund for that reason. But I do not recommend these if you like to wear low socks, even though they are very cute. If you have heel inserts maybe.
I usually order shoes in a size 9 even though I could also wear an 8.5. But I like my shoes loose. I've purchased Ryka brand in the past and they were also snug but comfortable. (GREY) My issue is the bad stitching and cheap looking materials used. Both of them come with unsightly puckering. Not one pucker, but 2 puckers on the outside near the toes. It won't matter if you buy them for around the house ONLY. The cushion is good. My worry now, is that I also bought them in BLACK, for outside. They haven't arrived yet. Fingers crossed!
I bought these to replace back Merrill shoes that are no longer made. I wanted comfortable, and black without all the crazy trim colors. Not quite my favorite Merrill’s but darn close!
I had Ryka sneakers before and loved them. So when I saw this adorable style with added traction, I ordered them right away. Sadly, from the moment I put them on, they actually hurt my feet. The back rubbed my heel, causing blisters, and they caused a pain on the ball of my foot. I was so disappointed.
