Bought as a gift for hair stylist who stands on his feet all day. I remember how much I liked them when I was working on my feet 9 hours a day. They are super comfortable, fit as sized and are well made. He loved his gift and he says he wears them all the time
I gave my girl-friend a pair of men's Rockports some years ago and she loved them. These were to be a replacement but the wide was more like standard. Had I known I would have ordered extra wide, but also although the same size as the older ones the toe area was too extended, which was a deal breaker, and I returned them.
For many years, as a letter carrier, I wore these shoes to deliver the mail on foot. For working, no other shoe I ever wore felt as comfortable or lasted as long. Even after Rockport changed factories twice, the quality always remained excellent. Only one pair of more than a dozen purchased was defective, there was some kind of hard object embedded in the sole. Rockport did not "happily" replace them, they denied there was a defect because it could only be detected by walking in the shoes. But they did replace them.New Balance is the only comparable shoe that comes close, matching Rockport for fit and comfort, but lack durability, wearing out twice as fast as the Rockports.
Been buying these for years and it seemed like they stopped making them. I found these on Amazon and they are the same as the ones I have been buying for years. Good style walking shoe with great arch support. M71 Prowalker by Rockport is a great shoe for the money.
I bought these shoes for wearing and doing a lot of walking in Europe. I put them to good use and they held up very well and still looked good. Usually, I wear out the heels of my shoes pretty quickly, but these held up nicely.
These Rockports are comfortable (cushy and flexible) and attractive. I purchased them for my father, who is not able to make it into stores any more. I ordered his usual size (8 wide), but, unfortunately, the shoes were too tight. I wanted to return them, but the return window was closed by the time I visited Dad and had him try on the shoes. Based on our experience, I would say to order up a size, and try them on as soon as you get them to be sure it's a good fit.
They are a good value especially considering that they are leather. Took a while to break in, which is why only 4 stars. Very stiff out of the box, but definitely improved a lot after a few days of use. Comfortable for walking on pavement and ok to use all day long. Very nice quality. I expect to be using these for a long time to come.
