I bought these shoes for Skateboarding. I have had two separate incidents where I have hurt my big toe. I was wearing Van’s Hi tops which do not give much protection to the toe. After my 2nd incident I began looking for skate shoes with steel toe. There were 3 different brands that offered this, but Rebok was the only on I could find in a High top. I was a little uneasy paying $90 for a shoe that will get torn up skateboarding but pleasantly surprised with an additional discount bringing the price down to $70.I received the sho last night and was amazed at the quality. It is a bulkier shoe than what I am used to(Vans), but after weighing them, they were only 3 oz more. The toe box is awesome. Lots of room and and protects the toes. You could smash it with a hammer and I am pretty sure it would hold up. The soles of the shoes are flat and have a great tread for gripping. I was locked into my skateboard better than ever. The inserts are nice and plush and felt great. Even with some 2 foot jumps and drops. Overall, my foot feels extremely protected and I am sure the backs are going to hold up to those heel smacks really well.As for performance, these shoes felt amazing. They are still flexible with the steel toe box, fit snuggly around the foot, and provide the protection to your feet. I was able to feel the difference immediately and felt more stable. I was able to pull off 2 trick that I have been trying for weeks. I am positive it was how secure the shoe felt and the extra grip it provided. My confidence level is up and I am looking forward to learning more.I have ordered two more pairs at the current price to replace these as they wear out. I am curious to see how long they last compared to my vans which typically last 3-4 months. I am thinking they may last 6-12 months with the quality. I will provide updates later. If you are like me and want a great high top skateboard shoe that protects your toes, these are excellent.
Had other pair of soft cap reebok shoes but wanted to try these and they are indeed good for safety, light weight and somewhat comfy to stand all day.
My 2nd pair of these. First lasted about a year. Comfortable enough, but the inside cushion will compress over time and need insoles. Soles stay flexible and maintain grip. I wear them in Temps down to -40F, get oil on them, work with high voltage wearing them, weld in them, etc.Worth a try. I got my first pair of these after the shoes I previously liked had their sole composition changed by the manufacturer. These fill all my requirements.
The toe box isn't half bad compared to many and personally you can never have enough toe box, the grip isn't bad ether. The inside fabric didn't hold out though tore a bit quicker then expected, needs a bit thicker fabric. Alng with that the soles faten out quicker then others and can start tearing up.
Fit amazing. True to size. Cloth material. Comfortable even with them being steel toe. Just like any normal walking shoe. They feel light. Perfect. I love them. Most work shoes feel boxy and you think maybe if I wear them I can break them in. Not these. I put them on and it's like they were literally made for my feet. I typically wear skate shoes. I like high tops. Osiris brand. Converse if I'm going out. I'd say my feet enjoy a little wiggle room on the arch. Ordered a wide on these and they really are perfect.
I recently purchased the Reebok Work Men's Dayod RB1735 Safety Shoe in black and unfortunately, I can only give it a rating of 1 out of 5 stars.Firstly, I found the sizing to be very off. I usually wear a size 10, but when I tried on the RB1735, it felt too tight in the toe box and too loose in the heel area. I tried wearing thicker socks to see if it would help, but it still felt uncomfortable. In terms of comfort, the RB1735 fell short as well. The insoles were not cushioned enough for my liking and I found that I was getting foot fatigue after just a few hours of wearing them. Additionally, the shoe is quite heavy and not very breathable, so my feet were getting quite sweaty and uncomfortable. On top of the sizing and comfort issues, the RB1735 also didn't seem very durable. The stitching on the sides of the shoe started to come apart after just a few days of wear, and the toe box area started to scuff up and lose its color. The one positive aspect of the RB1735 is that it does provide good protection. The steel toe cap and slip-resistant sole seem to be well-made and I feel confident wearing them in my workplace. However, the poor fit and lack of comfort outweigh this one positive aspect.Overall, I cannot recommend the Reebok Work Men's Dayod RB1735 Safety Shoe in black. The sizing is off, the comfort is lacking, and the durability is questionable. There are better options out there for safety shoes. There are several parameters to consider when choosing the best safety shoes:1. Protective Toe Cap: Safety shoes must have a protective toe cap made of steel, aluminum, or composite material to protect your toes from impacts and crush injuries.2. Slip Resistance: The sole of the safety shoe must provide excellent slip resistance to reduce the risk of slipping and falling.3. Electrical Hazard Protection: If you work with electrical equipment, you must choose safety shoes with electrical hazard protection to prevent electrical shocks.4. Comfort and Support: Safety shoes must be comfortable and provide adequate support to prevent foot fatigue and reduce the risk of foot and leg injuries.5. Material and Durability: Safety shoes must be made of durable and high-quality materials to withstand the harsh conditions of your work environment.6. Breathability: Safety shoes must have good ventilation to keep your feet dry and prevent bacterial and fungal infections.7. Fit: Safety shoes must fit well and provide enough room for your toes to move freely to prevent blisters, calluses, and other foot problems.8. Ankle Support: Safety shoes must provide good ankle support to prevent sprains and other injuries.9. Weight: Safety shoes must be lightweight and easy to move around in, especially if you have to walk or stand for long periods.By considering these parameters, you can choose the best safety shoes for your specific work environment and needs.
These shoes are the most comfortable work shoes I've owned
