I don't think my foot is exceedingly wide, but the shoe industry disagrees. So I was happy to see this offered in X-wide. Based on other reviews, I went down a half size. Normally, I buy 9.5 Wide. Got the 9 X-wide.It's a little roomy in the heel, but the rest of the shoe fits great. Nice and light. Comfortable. It'll be perfect for my upcoming trip. And a nice-looking shoe on top of it all!
These sneakers are very light and comfortable, and they look great as well. They do breathe though so once the fall and winter winds started blowing, I stopped wearing them for walks. They are still great in the house and I would also wear to work if it was a casual work event.
Comfort straight out of the box! Plenty of toe room.
Comfort, style, practicality and a very good "wide-ish" fit sum up these lightweight and attractive slip-on sneakers. Would have been five stars except for the fact that there was a very small, yet very visible, red stain on the gore of one of them on arrival. The shoes are so perfect for summer travel that I took a chance and "shouted" it out. To my delight there were no water stains left behind, a good omen for future washing, and now, having walked around in them a bit, I'm so glad I didn't return. If you are a Skechers fan looking for a white shoe or a more stylish one with a very relaxed fit, this is it. While not as "squishy", they're a good alternative. And if you are just looking for a comfortable slip-on sneaker in any color, this is it, too, especially if you have "problem" feet. One last thought...many reviewers have talked about a lack of arch support. My experience has been that traditional sneaker styles (flat bottoms) don't offer as much of that as those with even a small raised heal, so if that's a big problem for you, do look for another style. Both Propet and Skechers have lots to choose from. UPDATE: Two cruises, twelve ports and many many miles walking later, still enjoying these Propet's and they do wash well except for the satin gore, which gets a tad darker, but not so much as to destroy the overall look. I especially appreciated how cool they are since it reached a scorching 110 degrees in Granada, Spain!
I have wide feet and have always struggled with finding the right shoes, and the only ones that would fit me were always just wide enough but way too long. At some point I researched wide shoes and discovered these. I now realize that I am a 9.5 xx-wide, but I got these in 10 x-wide. Still, my feet have never been more comfortable in my life. These have been my only pair of shoes for over a year now. I have worked in these shoes, with the help of insoles, and I have had zero issues, other than my heel occasionally slipping out if I flex my foot too fast, but I attribute that to the material just naturally stretching out over time, plus the fact that they are technically too big for me. They have survived a few light washes in the washing machine (I don't think they recommend that, and I always put on the gentlest setting), so these shoes not only fit but also seem well-made. I have also recently purchased boots from the same brand, and I trust they will last just as long if not longer. I would recommend going to the actual site if you want more styles or sizes for wide feet. I think they also have narrow sizes as well.
Ok, so I'm not 20 anymore. Had to get a pair of these while recovering from bunion surgery (AFTER the boot!). Makes me feel old every time I look down, even though they are light and comfortable. Not the shoe's fault, I guess I have to adjust my attitude.....is there a shoe for that? As in other reviews, there are multiple loose threads and consequently, after a few wearings, the binding is coming loose.
I like this brand and have purchased in the past, they never disappoint. I have a wide, flat foot and always have difficulty finding a shoe to fit that is comfortable. I do size down as they tend to run somewhat large. I normally wear a 10 wide, but with this pair I can wear a 9 wide with no problem. It could be that these are truly a wide whereas other manufacturers advertise as wide, but aren’t the real deal.I will continue to purchase from Propet brand.
I have an issue with overpronation (roll to outside) thus I need a shoe with good stability, support; this shoe didn't work for me. Fit was good though.
