Just tried this shoe on and am so pleased! I took a chance on xx wide, and have room for socks and orthotics which I don't often have.....and my feet don't look gargantuan. I plan on taking these on vacation where much of the time I will be on foot. Finally, a comfortable shoe that I can walk in.
As I've aged I've developed a myriad of musculoskeletal problems, including hip and knee joint arthritis and the worst of all, lower extremity edema (no one physician has given me a definitive cause). Anyway, I don't get out much, so I rely on the internet to purchase what I hope will be comfortable shoes. As you know, not all shoes are born the same, so when unable to try them on prior to purchase, it becomes a real hit or miss. HOWEVER, thanks to these shoes, I no longer have to search. These fit exactly as I was hoping, wide enough to accommodate my edema without falling off my foot and comfortable/supportive enough to enable a walk through the local botanical gardens, then food shopping later! I love the brand so much I purchased a pair of Propet for my son who stands at work all day. He loves them too! If you can get out, then find a store that sells them...otherwise don't hesitate to order them online. If they don't fit, you can return them! Amazon is great with returns!
Good shoe
I needed a new pair of sneakers, and have had several pairs of Propet travel shoes, all of which are superbly comfortable. These are not as superbly comfortable as the shoes I've had in the past. I ordered 8D, which is my usual size. There is a band that is on the inside part of the front of the foot which feels a little tight just below the bunion on my foot. I like that I can put in another insole, which I did, for a bit more arch support. The shoes are pretty light, and there is enough give in the fabric so my feet don't feel cramped. I've tried them with different socks, thicker and thinner, and it doesn't really matter how they feel. I'm not super crazy about the laces, they are a little slippery and hard to tie. I'll keep them because they were a good deal, and work well for the most part. They are just not as super comfortable as I'd expected them to be.
Ordered XX wide but these shoes are not wide at all. I own extra wide shoes (from different brands) that are wider. The quality of the shoe is extremely poor and not worth the money I wasted on them.
Perfect fit. My podiatrist said they have great cushion
Great shoes for stability
Finally, a pair of shoes that fit and are comfortable right out of the box. I have close to 20 pairs in my closet that I ordered and never wore because of size or comfort issues. My only complaint, and it's a small one, is that the heel could be less wide, it slips on my foot a bit. Other than that I'm in love. Why are size 10.5 shoes so hard to find? Seems most everyone I know is looking for them.
