Comfortable, soft leather. Most times when you purchase an extra wide width in a shoe its only really a wide width, these are a true extra wide!
It fits my feet well, the toe box is maybe half a step less wide than I'd like but it's not painful and I didn't get fatigued like I do with worse fitting shoes. I'm still getting a different pair of shoes because if I was wearing these on a daily basis I would need to invest in several shoehorns to get them onto my feet with little enough hassle. They were nice to wear standing around all day, easy to take off, but really inflexible. The elastic cutouts are hardly able to move at all. It will help you a lot if you live somewhere with trivial winters so you can wear the really thin smooth socks all the time.I don't get the cutouts in the sole. These directly expose a few patches of styrofoam "balls" and glue; I do not know how the shoe is constructed, they look like beads in a glue mesh, but it could be a textured pad. The styrofoam is clearly styrofoam, or another similar foamed plastic that is not suited to exposure. They look pretty bad, they make it easy for small debris to press more directly on your foot, and they serve no functional purpose I can divine. I can say for certain that these exposed patches have less material present to stop a sharp object from touching your foot, and the remaining materials are much less suited to doing so.I'm not used to this material or durometer sole, and it's very flat, so the contact patch is very large. This means your weight is distributed over a larger area. Constant weight, larger area, lower weight per area, less friction. I find these shoes to be notably slippery until I have most of my weight on them, and I'm pretty big so smaller people may experience the low traction more often. The hardness of the sole combined with the very large contact patch also mean you are going to notice every little thing you step on, where normal tread patterns give lots of space for debris to get out of the way, or for the tread to deform around it. After putting them on I immediately had to sweep the whole area. This, along with the inflexibility, lead me to believe that going on a walk, like a mile or two, would be painful in these shoes. I bought them to keep at work, because of the winter. Walking short distances intermittently, around the office and such, was great. Standing for long periods was also great. It's these other issues I can't put up with
Shoes were for my son in law. He liked them.
Got these for my son. He has big and extra wide feet so it is hard finding him shoes that are comfortable and he likes. He isn't branded to anything, but he likes comfort. Finding extra wide that doesn't look like, not to sound rude, old people shoes is hard. This brand is great.
It is a nice looking shoe and probably very comfortable but unfortunately it runs big. I normally wear a size 8.5 XXW, I had ordered a pair in that size from another seller and had to return them because they were way too big in width and length. I ordered a size 8 XXW from Amazon thinking that by sizing down a 1/5 size would work but it was also too big in the length. I do have a pair of Propet hiking boots size 8.5 XXW that fit perfect so I'm guessing it is just this style that runs big. I am disappointed though because it is a good looking shoe and had it fit I would have given it 5 stars.
also not true to size. not sure what kind of shoes people are used to wearing but these were probably a full size too big and felt like i was wearing a cardboard box on my foot.
Very comfortable and easy to use
These "sneakers" actually serve well as nice, casual shoes. Not only are they extremely comfortable, but they are also good looking enough to suffice for dress shoe occasions.
