When it comes to walking shoes, comfort is paramount. The Propét Connelly excels in this category with its plush memory foam insole that molds to your foot's shape, offering personalized comfort throughout the day. Its double footbed feature is particularly noteworthy, catering to those who require orthotic support. This is an essential function for many individuals, especially those managing diabetes, as the shoe is Medicare A5500 approved.
The adjustable strap is another highlight, ensuring a secure fit regardless of foot shape. You can confidently adjust the tightness of the shoe, which is a significant advantage over traditional laced designs. Not only does this promote comfort, but it also allows for quick on-the-go adjustments, making them practical for daily wear.
However, while the overall design is quite appealing, the limited color options might not satisfy every consumer’s aesthetic preference. Moreover, some users have noted that the shoe runs wide, potentially necessitating a size adjustment for the best fit. Overall, if you're looking for a supportive walking shoe that doesn't compromise on style, the Propét Connelly could be an excellent addition to your footwear collection.

Shoe box is able to accommodate very wide foot comfortably. The Velcro straps are strong and convenient.
It took three tries but finally found right size. Order a whole size larger including width because they run small!. I like these shoes because I have a very high instep and arch and most shoes really squeeze my feet. I wore "comfort" shoes for years but never was satisfied when I needed an all day walking shoe. These are like sneakers but better looking for those short trail hikes or casual dress. The shoe comes with an extra layer insole that can be left in for extra comfort or removed to accommodate a more robust arch/heal support like I have. Lastly, I have grown to really like the velcro! Much more convenient than laces and I can get in and out of the shoes really fast. They are easy to loosen if my feet feel cramped. Great for airports or visiting friends with a no shoe home rule. They are definitely on the softer side and not really leather like.
These shoes fit my husbands swollen diabetic feet, are very comfortable and looked good too. There was only one problem.........the soft Velcro on the straps start to fray out from under the stitching due to the friction when moving the straps thru the plastic opening. This is happening because the Velcro does not have a finished factory edge on it. Since my husband loves these shoes it was up to me, a seamstress for many years, to come up with a solution. I decided to use a product called " Fray Block " that I got at a local fabric store. Following the directions on the tube I carefully applied the liquid on top of the soft Velcro where the stitching attaches it to the leather strap. I also very carefully applied it to the edge of the strap around to the edges of the velcro including the rubber tip area as well. I even applied it to the stitching of the "rough" velcro as well just make sure tbat the stitching would stay firmly attached. I made sure not get it on the leather even tho this product dries clear, remains flexible and you can't even see where I had applied the liquid. I let the shoes dry overnight before he wore them. He has been wearing them for over a month and there is no more signs of fraying and the "Fray Block" doesn't seem to be affecting the connection between the two pieces of velcro. Applying it when you first get the shoes before they can fray is very helpful. Great shoes!!! Happy Husband!!!!!
I bought these shoes for an extremely picky husband. Originally, I ordered a XX width but they were too wide. Happily, Amazon was kind enough to exchange them for a X width. My picky husband loves these shoes. They look sporty and are extremely comfortable. They are lightweight and so sporty that you don't even notice the velcro closure. They do not scream old man shoes. I would definitely recommend these to anyone but especially someone who is picky about their shoes.
My teenager is hardnon shoes and these look good and last a long time. We've bought these a few times over the past few years.
The first thing I noticed was how extremely wide these were. I wear a medium width. I ordered a medium width. What I received was marked a medium width. However, they fit like EEE width. They were so wide that I ran out of velcro to make the width adjustment. Only a tiny piece of velcro held the straps in place. I tried using cushioned hiking sox, but that did not help. I tried using heavily cushioned hiking sox and that did not help either. My heel swimmed around in the heel box because it was too too wide. Therefore if I walked on anything other than level pavement, my heels and toes slip all over the place putting me at risk of a turned ankle. On boulders, they felt like they were going to twist off.I also noted that I could several lumpy areas in bottom of the insoles. Therefore it was like I was always walking around with folded over sox inside my shoes.I ordered a 10 and they fit lengthwise like a 10.Insofar as the materials and craftsmanship, I had the opinion that the materials were too thin and fragile. I felt however that the shoes were well put together.Bottom line: ridiculously wide heel to toe; lumpy inside; fragile materials; but, they look very nice.
Good solid feel to these shoes.
This is a good looking shoe. I wear a 12 and the length and width were perfect. But here is the rub. The tongue is loose and doesn't stat upright. I my case it would work to the outside of my shoe. The second issue is the top velcro strap. When you pull it over most of the velcro is overlapped and very little is used. It wasn't tight enough to keep my heel from coming up. That was the big Rub. If you are thin, this probably not the right shoe for you.Skinny Denny
