The Propét Men's Stability Walker is engineered for those who prioritize stability without sacrificing comfort. Right from the first wear, you’ll notice the difference that the wide forefoot and heel base make. This design not only aids in stability but also contributes significantly to a comfortable walking experience, especially for individuals who might struggle with other types of footwear.
When it comes to comfort, the PU insole truly shines by providing excellent cushioning. The heel pad and cushioning ridges create a soft landing for each step, which can be particularly beneficial if you're on your feet for extended periods. The memory foam topper molds to your foot's unique shape, offering personalized support where you need it most.
Moreover, the rocker profile encourages a natural rolling motion as you walk, reducing strain on your feet and joints. With its padded collar and tongue, you won’t have to worry about discomfort from rubbing or irritation. And if you have specific orthotic needs, the removable insole easily accommodates them, making this sneaker not just versatile but essential for anyone needing additional support.
However, like any product, it has its limitations. Some users report that the shoes can feel stiff initially and may require a breaking-in period. Additionally, availability can vary, and finding your preferred size might sometimes be challenging.

Good for the price
insole padding is severely lacking. The shoe fits well, but it's nowhere near as comfortable as the Propet sneakers I bough a few years ago. Every time I wear these while walking I get real bad shin splints, but that's not the case with any other shoe I've tried.
A decent shoe is becoming so hard to find. These Propets (at least at the time of this review) are good shoes. Every manufacturer is looking to keep profits high for their stock holders. Materials and manufacturing costs have risen since 2001. The tied and true shoes I would replace after they had served me well have become props for a charade. They may look like the same shoe but the real thing has become a cheap knock off of what they once were. These Propets are better than most available. They are not perfect but they are good. I wish the soles had more cushioning and I think they look a lot like Bozo the Clown shoes. However, I like the way they feel compared to what is available and I need black shoes for work so after trying out a pair I purchased 6 more pairs to rotate through the week. Shoes need time to rest and should not be worn everyday. I wear each pair no more than once each week. I have 7 instead of 5 because the price was right and it just helps stave off a worn out look and they will last longer.
Comfortable fit although I dislike very much the lacing design. Even after pulling up "tight" after a few minutes of walking I have to untie and tie again (sometimes twice or 3 times). Also will probably replace the insoles with something more "cushy" padding.
my husband loves them
Sorry, but while these shoes seem well made, I had a problem with them fitting properly due to a somewhat narrow TOE area. I returned them and received a full refund via Amazon.com! A First Class transaction with a First Class business! (ordered and received size 11.5D).
These shoes have been a very positive experience. First size arrived and was just too small. My husband is breaking in the bigger size and has commented these seem slightly large, but wearable. Returning the first pair was so easy. Amazon did essentially everything. I had to only print the return mailing lable and drop off at a UPS store. The UPS staff could not have been nicer. Hoorah for UPS and Amazon. Both know the meaning of customer service. Keep up the good work.
These shoes were worn 5 days a week for almost 3 weeks before the sole started splitting. While they were not $150 shoes, they weren't $20 either and should certainly have held together better than that for the price paid. I've had better wearing ones from WalMart for less than 1/3 of the price. My son threw the box away or they would have been returned.....
