If you're in search of a versatile sneaker that accommodates wider feet while providing comfort, look no further than the Orthofeet Women's Sanibel Sneaker. The thoughtful design features a wide toe box, alleviating pressure from bunions and hammertoes, which is crucial if you face these foot issues.
The soft and flexible upper construction feels comfortable against the skin, making extended wear enjoyable. Additionally, the removable insole adds the option of customizing your level of cushioning and arch support, which is a significant advantage for those who need orthotic support.
The cushioning sole with a mild rocker design promotes a natural gait, providing you with a little extra spring in each step. This feature can be especially beneficial during long periods of walking or standing, reducing fatigue over time.
While the sneaker excels in comfort, it's worth noting that it isn't water-resistant. Therefore, if you're looking for a shoe to wear in wet weather, this might not be the best choice. Moreover, the hook and loop closure may not suit everyone's aesthetic preferences but works effectively for securing the shoe comfortably.

This is my second pair of Orthofeet shoes. The first pair lasted over 3 years before the stitching at the toe became loose. They were still comfortable but were clearly worn and needed replacement. To clarify: I wore those shoes every single day and I walked everywhere I went because I don't own a car. I average about 5 miles of walking per day. That said, these shoes are the most durable, long-lasting shoes I have ever owned. When I purchased the first pair, I had plantar fasciitis in both feet. By wearing orthopedic shoes and doing the appropriate stretching, I was able to completely heal the damage and recover from PF. This brand is absolutely the best brand of orthopedic shoes I have ever found. They are durable, comfortable, and attractive. They fit true to size. Furthermore, each pair of shoes from Orthofeet comes with a variety of insoles and arch support devices that can be added to the shoe to help improve the fit/comfort, if necessary. I have never found the need for any added insole or support as they fit fine just out of the box - however, it is nice that the company supplies these additional tools, just in case. The shoes may be more expensive than I would like to budget for footwear, but since I can count on them to last multiple years, the overall cost/benefit is positive and worth the investment. Highly recommend.
It’s a comfortable shoe and I would probably like to purchase another style. It was kind of difficult for me to put it together, but I have a orthotic already so I could put that in to the shoe. I’m gonna take it to my podiatrist and see if he can figure out how to put it together For my foot problems. One other thing is I have a high arch and the little Velcro on the top of my foot is not fitting correctly. It’s not the way the shoe was designed it’s my foot or feet. So I might return this shield and buy another one of your shoes because they are really comfortable
Cute shoes, very cozy, however they run long and therefore I had to return because my narrow heel kept slipping out with each step.
I’m 79 years old and I need to take care of my feet. These shoes are worth every penny I paid for them. My big toe is always a problem in a closed toe shoe. I’ve ended up having to wear an open toe shoe most of the time. These shoes have a large enough toe box to accommodate my problem big toes. I love the Velcro straps and heel adjustment features. I wear thin ankle socks with them and they are really cute with slender ankle pants or tights. They are wearing well. The suede is holding up well.
The shoe itself has no structure -- it's mesh and nylon with adjustment straps. Great ideas and I'd love this in every shoe. But without the structure, my foot just moves around back and forth. If I tighten the ankle strap and the main strap enough to make my foot stop moving, then it pushes my foot so far forward that my toe is right up against the front of the shoe.Of course if I'm watching TV they're comfortable. But walking around, I feel as if my foot is going to slip then cause an ankle roll. Really strange feeling unfortunately.
These shoes are one year and less than one month old and I just learned how to replace Velcro on shoe straps. I avoid buying Velcro shoes because the shoes always outlive the Velcro and I am left with the choice of paying $40 + to get them repaired or buying new shoes. I bought these shoes because I found myself in the middle of a lockdown recovering from foot surgery and couldn’t fit into my shoes. They had good reviews and I took a chance.Pros: totally adjustable! Heel can be tightened with a strap. Comfortable adjustable strap fastener across the arch. 3 different thicknesses of shoe liner allow for fine tuning the inside fit to accommodate swollen toes. They feel like wearing slippers. I chose a half size larger than normal to give my feet a little more room. They were as comfortable as sore swollen feet can be.Cons: Velcro! The Velcro started to slip and fail after about 9 months. I carried on for another three months because I wear the shoes all the time, until the strap would no longer hold at all. I looked on the web and found a Video of a women replacing the Velcro on her kids shoes. So I gave it a try . So far so good! However, I should not have to repair a pair of shoes in this price range after such a short period of time. Orthofeet please find a better Velcro or go back to buckles.
I love the deep foot box. It allows orthotics if you use them. It has different inserts to as to make the depth just right for your foot. It also has nice arch support plus an arch booster if needed on some of their shoes. Read to see if included with the Mary Jane. It is an excellent shoe and my feet do not hurt since I have been wearing Ortho feet. I love and recommend this product!❤️
I am a true narrow width and was delighted that the shoes fit so well. I added the enclosed 1/4" pad under my orthotic. I developed plantar fascitis after 2 months of working on a concrete floor, standing for 7 hours a day. My only problem is that my right foot (with the plantar fascitis) is slightly longer than my left foot. I wear an 8.5 Narrow. My right foot hits the very top of the toe box. I decided not to return for a 9 Narrow because then the shoe would be too big for my left foot. Fortunately this shoe has a strap across the back of the heel. I adjusted that and it gave me a little more space. However I am still experiencing heel pain, but my plantar fascitis has improved considerably. I chose this pair because it is feminine and doesn't look like a work shoe.
