I have bought this line of New Balance that is now 990 V6 for at least 10 years. The quality of the shoes I have received has been consistent. I order the same size and it has also been consistent. The waffle pattern on the sole looks a little different but support seems equivalent.
Very comfortable and durable shoe Terrific for my daily walks and looks great for general use.
Not as comfortable as I thought they would be I had to use stretcher by the toe After adding inserts helped a little
I like the shoe very much. I would like more colors to choose from.
I love New Balance 990 shoes and have bought them for years. For some reason, this year's women's 990v6 has shoe laces that are too small to tie. I went to my local New Balance shoe store, they said that everyone was unhappy with this and that I should call NB customer service. After half an hour on hold, New Balance Customer Service told me that they do not solve shoelace problems, and that the problem is all mine. The shoes come with too-small laces in 2 different colors (how special is that!). It is costing me an additional $15 to order replacement shoelaces on Amazon, while taking my best guess at the right size to order. I asked NB Customer Service to at least document the fact that their product has a problem, and the agent seemed overwhelmed at the effort that this would require. With a $199 price tag, something here should really be handled a lot better. Any chance that someone up there will read this?Footnote: I bought the extra shoe laces, and now I really hate these shoes. There is a huge amount of shoelace showing (is this supposed to be decorative?), and I prefer a shoe which is less shoelace, and more shoe material. New Balance seems to have considered this, by providing 2 pairs of shoe laces - one white and one navy. Theoretically, the navy laces would be less visible. Unfortunately, the shoe has a white piping around the lacing area, so the navy laces just look dumb. Use the white laces, which will never stay white, and they cover 1/3 of the shoe's front.
- I received these nice running sneakers in condition on 8/1/23 from mostly dependable Amazon.com shipper. All of its materials feel light.- The NB sneakers insoles are thin. Thus I bought thicker better insoles and they feel comfortable when I walk or lightly jog in it. The sizeWomen 7-1/2 feels roomy enough to fit my insoles and/or thick socks in it.- The bottom outer rubber soles (mixed white/grey) are thick and supportive enough for bottom of feet.- The 2 shoe laces colors that came with it are grey and black; I used the grey laces.- Overall I like these NB W990v6, mostly top part is black; bottom rubber sole part is grey/white running sneakers- I like the Prime member Amazon.com feature, try before you buy.- Thank you New Balance company, and Amazon.Com seller, shipper staffs👍😊
I walk 2 miles daily. I thought I'd give the New Balance 990 a try, but no go. These were far longer and far wider than my usual 10 D in any other brand of walking shoes I've tried. I checked the box label because it seemed like they had sent the men's size, but it said women's 10 D. In addition, this shoe has no eyelet to keep the tongue in place. I'm returning them and going back to my favorite: Brooks Addiction 2 walkers.
Please don’t stop this series of shoes they have the best support that helps walk and back pain to stop
