Purchased last year and wore well. Wore them frequently
I bought these for work. I was tired of bulky, weird colored sneakers. I am on my feet for 8 hours walking short distances and standing. I need more cushioning in the footbed area than these shoes provide but there is room enough for my custom orthotics and the second day I wore them they were feeling better. These shoes are lightweight and provide enough support for my high arches. Just wish there was more cushioning in the sole. Also, I ALWAYS wear a 6 1/2 and these feel almost a 7. I might try a 6 next time.
These shoes are very comfortable and excellent for walking long distances. I bought them for a friend and she has nothing but good to say about them.
I hope they will stretch somewhat ...I ordered wide .but they run small and narrow other then that I like them and the service was great thank you
So far, and I expect it to continure, the leather shoes are just what I wanted for winter in the Northeast when it is cold with a light snowfall; heavy socks are required; but boots are not needed. Every need has been met. I am pleased.
Edited to add: Since writing this, I've purchased a set of laundry markers in different colors. These work really well in covering up the logos so you can hardly see them!I've bought this shoe several times over the years - a nice basic all black leather sneaker. It still fits well and I have no complaint about that. However, Keds has now decided to plaster impossible to remove ugly logos in 3 places on the shoe. It makes this formerly nice shoe look really tacky and trashy. The worst one is on the tongue of the shoe, and it is still visible after you tie the shoe. It's not shown in the Amazon photo, which must be an old photo, but you can see it on the Keds site. Someone on the Keds site commented that you could snip the logo off the tongue, so I figured it's just sewn on at both edges, and I could just remove it. I started to do that, only to realize it was also fully glued to the tongue of the shoe. I got off as much as I could, but it looked like a mess, with big white spots over the tongue. (The logo itself is big and white.) For this pair of shoes, I solved the problem by covering the mess in black shoe polish, which worked reasonably well. But I sometimes have bought navy or other color shoes from Keds, and I don't think this method would work on those colors.A second logo is very very solidly stitched to the side of the shoe. There used to be a small logo there that was very easy to snip off, which I did as soon as I got the shoes. Although this one is very small, and not as in-your-face as the logo on the tongue, it is pretty much impossible to remove. More black shoe polish there! The third change is to the logo on the back of the shoe. This was always a solid blue rectangle and I was fine with that. No more - it's still a blue rectangle, but now with huge white letters saying Keds.I'm keeping this pair to wear mainly on days with messy weather, but I'll be looking elsewhere next time I want a pair of all black leather sneakers. If it weren't for the logos, I would have given this 4 stars, so if you don't mind this type of advertising all over your shoes, you may still like these.
My rating is based on a previous purchase of the same shoes. I've been buying keds leather oxfords for Probably 25 years, because they're comfortable and wear well. I was excited to find them in black at Amazon several years ago. This is my third pair and I'm really hoping this pair lasts longer than the last pair. The last pair I got started coming apart at the seams almost immediately. The piece that connects the leather to the sole kept coming apart top and bottom. I kept super gluing them together, until I finally gave up and ordered another pair, because I was tired of wet socks and feet. If these do the same thing, it'll be my last pair! I'm hoping the last purchase was a fluke...if not, then keds may no longer be the quality that kept me buying them for 25 years. I hate to write a review based on a previous purchase, but I haven't worn these ones long enough to give a rating on this purchase.
Keds great shoe
