I bought for an overseas trip for both plane ride and walking in Paris. I needed something I could manage cobblestones and dress up a bit. These sneakers were comfortable out of the box. I didn’t need to break them in. I wore them loose for ease of slipping on/off at security, I wore them with everything from dresses to jeans to leggings. Great basic sneakers.
These sneakers are exactly what I wanted. Quality is superb. I love this sneakers so much, I want to get another one in a different color!
These shoes are my new favorite casual sneaks. If you own Frye boots, these run true to your Frye size and the width/toe box width are in line with most other Frye styles. I ordered the tan leather color and they’re lovely. The leather is buttery soft and a bit shiny (not matte; but certainly not patent). Mine came laced with tan laces that match the shoe color; but an additional pair of off-white laces were also included in the box. I wear a size 7.5 running shoe, but sometimes size down to a 7 for pointy toed flats and loafers (across various brands). However, these ran true to my running shoe size, and the 7.5 fit perfectly with traditional socks. I have duck feet (widest at the forefoot; narrow heel). These shoes were comfortably snug in the toe box (any wider would have made these shoes look less sleek and too clunky). The heel was indeed a little loose on my foot, given my anatomy; but I tied the laces a little tighter at the top and they were fine (as in, I didn’t think about the heel again for the eight hours I wore these). After wearing around the house for twenty minutes, I knew I was going to wear them the rest of the day with no issues. No break in period needed; and no blisters whatsoever after a full day of wear. Frye Ivy Low Lace, I think I love you.
The shoe fits tight and small. I ordered a 1/2 size larger than my normal 9 and it was tight, but its leather it will conform. I loved the leather they look expensive exclusive. I didn't like the way they laced the shoe over under... not good for releasing opening the shoe. Relaced.. Overall, a good upscale sneaker that says you have class and a lil money.
Great color, comfort and look.
I absolutely love these shoes. They are so gorgeous and beautiful. That being said, you almost feel like you’re slapping your foot like a duck when you walk because the bottom of it is so heavy and the sides are quite firm. This would be for longevity, I guess. There’s also no arch support, and the toe area is a little cramped so I had to wrap 10 bandage tape around my toes when I walked in it so I wouldn’t get blisters but I’m not about to return these as they do make a statement, but I wouldn’t pay the money for them again.
These were a hit! Got them for Christmas. Would possibly go up a size because I had to exchange for another pair. Seem warm and comfortable.
I love these sneakers. This is the second pair I have ordered. They have become a wardrobe staple for me. Super comfortable and stylish. They hold up really well after repeated wear. Strongly recommend!
