I like Element shoes and own one other pair of skater-style sneakers that I'm really happy with. I ordered the Sawyer Sneakers since I don't own any other shoes that look quite like these do. The brown suede paired with the white sole looks great!That said, here are my notes after wearing the Sawyers a few times:→ The Sawyers run a bit narrow. I don't have wide feet and still found these on the snug side. If you do have wide feet, I would avoid these!→ The shoes get warm! I will occasionally wear these to the office, but I noticed that my feet get hot wearing these.→ The Sawyers ship with both brown and black laces. The black laces come installed on the shoes.

Shoes are made ok, but not perfect.First thing I noticed was glue on the sole. Around the edge where the bumper is glue on there is excess glue that oozed out. Soles are flat with no cushion. Heels are low cut and do not grip your heel well. Insoles are very thin and cut of shoe does not allow for much thicker insoles. I tried 2 pairs of insoles and the thinner of the 2 worked ok. Overall I find the shoes uncomfortable even with a better insole. Since the heel design offers little support or cushion they are not comfortable for walking or long periods of standing. Overall very disappointed 😞
Black, 9 ½. Came with both black and yellow laces.I absolutely love these sneakers. I've worn Vans and Converse as casual shoes for most of my years and these are far nicer. I think they will last longer before looking beat up. They fit exactly as I want them to. There's no squeaking when I walk. The leather looks to be high quality and there are no defects that I can see in the pair I received. I've worn these to work (desk job where I stand all day; I don't even have a desk chair) on the days where I can dress more casually and these are comfy all day long. I've put some miles on them too; I wouldn't wear them in situations where a lightweight hiking shoe would be the obvious choice but these are great for around town and walking in the neighborhood. If these hold up, I'll be buying them in other colors and will rebuy when they eventually wear out.
I was really surprised by how much I liked these shoes from Element. The black suede is rich in color, while the texture somewhat sends me back to my youth. They fit exactly as I expected them to and seem true to size. On a personal note, my right foot has a corn that rubs against the right inner side of the shoe and my foot starts to hurt after a while. So, there is not much stretch in the material. I can't fault the shoe itself because my left foot feels fine. The sole is durable and has a good thickness to it that feels sure and full-footed when I am walking. So, I have no complaints about the quality or comfort of this shoe and would say buy with full confidence.
