Being that i injured my shoulder seriously a few years ago, i try to stay off of traditional skateboards. A man pulled up alongside me a few days ago as i was cruising on an electric skateboard and said, 'Hey your cheating'. I then responded, ' I am old and i put in my time, therefore i deserve to cruise electric'. It is a give and take kind of thing, because i have now dedicated my athletic energies to jogging and running. Being that i am nearing forty it is just once of those age compromises you have to deal with. I can however still enjoy the great footgear associated with skateboarding.Element is a brand i have a special affection for, due to it being one of the first of two skateboarding- gear based clothing lines that i was exposed to. The other was Globe which i also still enjoy. Element is special because they have always approached the skate shoe from many different design styles. I have owned a standard flat style shoe without any support such as zero kickflip guard material. That kind was used more for a fashion thing with the color being green adding to that idea. Element also delivers a thick and well padded shoe that can withstand the repetitious impact of the feet landing from either a vigorous trick or an inclined drop-off.With this sweet looking shoe from the Bore Lite category, i have found a shoe that is great for flat ground jogging and cruising around on skateboards or electric scooters. I will still jump on a longboard and occasionally a bowed regular board, which i did to test this shoe out. I love the leverage you have when popping up the back or front end. The landing is super well padded for my large feet. I have some strange shaped feet and these shoes encompass them well, with no break in period. The fact that i did not have to go through having a giant blister on my left foot, shows how well these shoes are made. About 95 percent of the time, i mandatorily have to got through that uncomfortable side effect, of having one foot a bit larger than the other. With this shoe it just seemed to all blend together perfectly.I like the faded yellow color because that is a shade i do not see that often. It is not so much an eye catching shoe as one that is sort of pastel in its color. With the textured but rubber heels, then the boarder of the shoe of that same white color mixed within a matrix of particle pieces of a greyish tint, the side and heel of the shoe mix nicely with the pastel yellow color. The visual effect is of a calming one, rather than a neon or multicolored and busy variation which is common.I am going to be using these mainly for the gym, because the indoor track floor at the facility i use works well with the tread and weight of the shoe.I can tell this is a sturdy shoe an like how the center has a bit of unique padding that seems to cushion the soreness that will occur with me around mile four of looping the track. This shoe allowed me to coast right into that zone of focus that then gives me the adrenaline to go on to five or six miles around the track. This is a good show for mild to semi heavy weight lifting. I noticed when lifting, where my lower back was being strained, this shoe gave me a good stance in relation to feeling planted properly in synthesis with the weight. To conclude, i am very happy with this shoe and easily give this five stars. I have never been let down by the Element brand and have been using them for twenty five years easily. I recommend this shoe and hope you have an easier time choosing what color or style, because there are four main options that were hard for me to choose, being that they all look great.
I actually got these Element Men's Borea Lite Sneakers for myself and I am a female. I really liked the unique look and colors on these. I see others have had issues with quality so I inspected mine thoroughly, and I didn’t have any issues at all. There’s no scuffs, no sexless glue, nothing at all like that. The quality seams great and they seam well made as a whole and like they will hold up for a long time. These definitely are a bit more on the chunky side and give off dad shoe vibes, but that’s totally in these days and I rather like that about these. The only complaint I have is that these have a weird toe area that sort of dips down at an awkward angle. But once I broke these in and got used to them it doesn’t really bother me as much as it initially did when I first put them on. Overall I’m really happy with these and have been wearing them multiple times a week since I got them. They are super cute and I would totally recommend!
I wanted to love these shoes that I bought months ago, however I've come to believe that my search for a sneaker thats both fashion forward and very comfortable week continue! I'm not giving up and it's possible that this brand has other shoes/sneakers that might be a note perfect fit for my size 13 feet.I got the white color and thought it would be more of a pristine white, however it's an off white. It seemed to get dirty from dust in just a couple of days I gently hand cleaned them and then came out as pictured here. There were three correct size and increased my height about an inch. I'm about 5'10" (and shrinking!) and felt a slight increase in my self esteem being just a little taller. That's a experience and it's a positive one.I wanted a sneaker that my feet would love and would support them no matter what athletic activity I was up to. Didn't happen that way and I'm looking for additional support and a sneaker thats a little less bulky. I should have noticed this before I purchased them at it's obvious now in the photos. But I'm not perfect and the price point is nice enough to not think of returning them. I wear them about every other day and keep trying to break them in but I don't think my relationship with these is quite that good.I hope this was helpful to you. And I wish you luck.
Ordered size 9 as usual but these feel somewhat tight.. possibly run a half size small? They seem well made, my pair had no glue or seam issues. Tidy all around. Rather nice actually. Not heavy but overall feel (and look) a little clunky to me. The “visibly” recycled speckled material in the sole is an off-white cream that clashes with the pure white upper.Heel and insole padding add almost an inch in height, where usually I wear lower profile shoes. Had a few missteps where I was concerned about ankle stability but that’s likely the additional height weirding me out.I'm not into chunky "sports" fashion shoes, haven't been for decades, and these reminded me why.And I don't think they're intended for actual running or sports. If you’re into the aesthetic, they’re not unreasonably priced for a well-made pair of shoes. I do feel the black and yellow models look nicer than the white pair I ordered (mild regret) but I REALLY wanted some white sneakers to replace my tatty old pair. Not sure if these are the ones..But someone will like them. As long as they maybe order a half size larger than usual and are ok with the speckled soles.
