When it comes to service sneakers, the Dunham Men's Midland stands out due to its thoughtful design focused on comfort and functionality. The seamless construction coupled with seam-sealed waterproof leather makes this shoe ideal for various work settings, especially in inclement weather. The crucial feature here is the slip-resistant outsole, which is essential for maintaining stability on slippery surfaces.
The removable EVA footbed caters to those who might need custom orthotics, while the cushioned EVA midsole offers outstanding shock absorption, making every step feel comfortable. However, potential buyers should note that these sneakers might take a little time to break in. Once they do, you'll appreciate the level of comfort they provide, even during extended wear.
On the downside, the lack of breathability may lead to a warmer experience during hot days, though this is often a trade-off for waterproof capabilities. Overall, if you're looking for reliability and style in a work sneaker, the Dunham Men's Midland is worth considering.

Finally a osha safe restaurant slip/oil resistant shoe with the best thing know to man, the roll bar system, it's not a gimmick, every other shoe I own the shoe is rolled over from me being overweight, but every dunham shoe I have owned I have walked the soles off, or they just fell apart from working on concrete floors of a kitchen, and the chemicals and hot water from the dish room, I never was upset to have to replace any shoe in the past 11 years of working in a kitchen. I will forever be buying these now that they are oil resistant.
These Dunham sneakers are comfortable and durable. They do run a little bit wide, but not so much that they flop on the feet, and the length is accurate for the size. The shoes are well-made and the waterproofing does work well in rain or for spills. Moisture does still seep in around the tongue, but that's to be expected. These are very good for standing/walking on concrete floors, and they provide good traction when those floors are wet. However, they don't perform as well outdoors. These would be ideal for restaurant or retail workers who need to be on their feet most of the day. These are lighter weight than what I expected, and even though the seams are sealed, they aren't hot on the feet, which is a big plus when you're on your feet all day. I got these for my son, who mostly wears them when he's working in our garage. He says that they're comfortable enough that his feet don't hurt even after being out there all day. They are good quality shoes, and we'd recommend them.
Great fit, just what I’ve been looking for!
Owned for less than two months, worn fewer than 10 times. Seam connecting top of shoe over toes that connects to side of the shoe upper came undone. Nonslip grip of bottom of shoe is great, but if the upper falls apart this easily, after owning for such a short period of time, there is no reason for anyone to waste their money on them.
What can I say? Dr Frankenstein gave me abnormal feet. One measures 12 4E and the other 13 2E. It makes shoe shopping a whole lot of fun. The biggest hurdle though is finding shoes with width in the toe box. Some claim 2E or 4E widths. But they just don't measure up in real life. I have tried several brands recently and have not had a lot of luck. One particular brand I like makes genuine leather shoes with a wide toe box that doesn't taper in like most. But they do not offer Wide widths. So it is hit or miss whether they will fit at all. And it takes time for the leather to stretch to fit comfortably. If only they would offer Wide widths.Anyway, I bought these because they offered them in a 6E. I thought surely these would fit. In 6E they should fit a Sasquatch. Alas, the toe box is tapered in. I had trouble just getting them on. And my toes were definitely scrunched up. So back they went. Overall, they seemed snug the whole length of the shoe. Very surprising for a shoe sold as a 6E. The other brand I mentioned earlier feels better in a straight 13. Very odd and disappointing for me personally.
I’ve been buying these shoes for work for years, but this time they fit very tightly. Especially the right one. If they were to always run small I can go up a half size, but they need stay consistent.
impressive shoes for the cold weather.
