The product itself is great. The vendor is awful! They do not want to replace the defective product. The right shoe came with a pretty large cut in the sole which is hard to spot unless you press on the sole from the outside in a certain way. I discovered it as my right foot got soaked twice after walking on the wet pavement.Overall the show fits well, feels good, looks good. Just these scoundrels do not want to replace the shoe despite sending them relevant photos and videos of the defect. They claim they cannot take it back as they were worn due to hygienic reasons. Who would want to wear a shoe with a cut in it anyway?!?!?!
Comfortable and convenient.Update: I have been wearing them for work almost every day for a year and a half. They are still comfortable although I've always worn them with orthopedic inserts. They are a good solid shoe with nothing coming apart or tearing like most shoes would after this long.
I like these leather Chuck Taylor's so much that this is my second order.
Being a fan of Chuck Taylor's for a quite some time, I decided to venture into the "leather" world of Chuck's. My go-to shoe has always been Chuck's. Lets face it, they're awesome and they go with practically EVERYTHING! With that being said, I wanted to switch up the style a bit and figured with these leather ones, I will get more durability and longevity out of them.To my surprise they seem to fit ever so slightly larger than the canvas Chuck's. They don't seem as narrow as the canvas version. They do take more time to break in as opposed to the canvas ones. The leather is soft and in my opinion, they are sharper looking than the canvas ones.My only grip is that when you bend your foot, the rubber toe part digs in the top of your toes a little bit. When I go put my canvas ones on, I gotta say, comfort-wise, they are indeed more comfortable. That's probably because the canvas does tend to fit better with your feet. Also, I would add that the leather ones would probably go with more formal attire as they are "cleaner" looking. In a nut shell here's what I would say:For looks, durability and longevity of the shoe ---> Get the leather ones. For fitment, no sizing issues and comfort ---> Get the original canvas ones.
As you can see it came with glue around and with just been used 2 times it looks like a year or use. It's loosing the color of the logo in the back. I don't think it's original.
I finally treated myself to these and my only word of warning, they are leather Chucks. They are going to be a tight fit for a few wearings until they're broken in. I'm just about to that point and I believe once they're there, they'll become one of my favorite pair of kicks.Plus the leather really looks nice in comparison to the traditional canvas All-Stars.
Been wearing these for a while and I have to say they still look quite nice. There are a lot of crevasses where the shoe can collect dust and small white particles but that is to be expected when you buy a black shoe with so many places for particles to collect. Cleans up easily though, and then looks brand new. Definitely recommend to fellows looking for casual shoes.
The only reason I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars is because tracking wasn't available for the package. It was frustrating because the package was running later than expected. However, I had a great response time from the seller. I emailed them on a Saturday and received a response within the hour. They gave me the tracking number as well as telling me that the package was sitting at the post office. Apparently, usps attempted to deliver the package when I wasn't home and never left a note telling me to pick it up...definitely not the sellers fault! Anyway, the shoes are brand new as described and fit perfectly!
